I am curious to know if Henson, Kemper et al are aware of the fundraising aspect of saving Farscape?
I believe without question that their knowing of and supporting of this fundraising effort would help matters considerable. It'd also be a guarantee of end results.

They should know. :)
Most, if not all, have internet access. Ben Browder is a self-confessed internet junky. They probably do lurk here and elsewhere from time to time. Some scapers have more personal contact with some of the cast and crew and I'm sure they told them what we've been up too.
We've also sent them copies of FoodScape vol.1 back in November, when we did the first run, which is made specifically for fundraising.
There have also been other very visible signs of the campaign as well, the gift baskets, flower deliveries, TV Commercials, the cover of Variety, just to name a few, that would be impossible without fundraising of some kind.
We are very careful to not step on copyrights though. It's one of the reasons the Copyright threads are tacked to the top of the forums. And there have been very few times have we had feedback from Henson about NOT doing something (like the movie trailer ads with vid clips, that was a definite no-no).
I think that Henson and Kemper, cast and crew, all support the campaign and ALL it's efforts, is a given, but they also cannot publicly lend their support to the cause.

Thanks.
But to be absolutely honest your last statement makes no sense to me at all. I see no reason why any of cast, crew et al could not lend public support to the campaign, especially if cast, crew et al -- more specifically Henson and Kemper are in a campaign themselves to save Farscape.
Such a campaign as this can only add fuel to Henson and Kemper's efforts. What better example that fans are behind Farscape than this?! And besides that, by adding their public support, they can only enhance the Save Farscape campaign that could enhance their Save Farscape campaign.
It's a win/win situation, if they'd just take advantage of it.
Sorry. My opinion.

It sort of has to do with their own careers. You can't really go around badmouthing a previous employer you know? It's not quite the same, but the analogy holds true. If the actors and crew get too publically involved in the campaign, it may give them a rep that will hurt their careers. Also, it sort of implies that an actor may not be available for work (and therefore won't even be offered work) because of the campaign. If other people think they are busy or too committed to seeing Farscape come back they won't be offered new jobs at all. It's not a win/win situation at all. The cast/crew have to think about how to pay the rent this month too, and getting involved with fans (some of whom have already given us bad, as in "I'm afraid of these people" bad press) can interfere with that.

Chryse kind of summed it up...I mean, imagine if DK, or Ben, or Claudia were to do something publicly with the Save Farscape campaign. Well and good and all, but imagine them at their next job interview, or audition. "So...I saw that thing you did with the campaign. Should I even bother hiring you for anything longterm? Because it looks to me like your heart's really in this other show, and you'll just bail on me the second anything happens with that." They have to eat, y'know? Personally, I don't need any overt support from them. I have faith that they know what we're doing, and that they are pulling for us, and that works for me. :)

state publically -time and time again how amazed they are at the fans they have and how scapers are incredible. Ben mentioned it again recently in an elusive interview snippet on sci fi UK.
For me that's enough... Why does he have to mention the campaign specifically? It's kinda implied... :D Plus we have *always* been a supportive bunch. :rollin:
Also Wayne and Claudia and Anth at cons have mentioned the campaign iirc.. :rollin:
You just have to look in the right places. :D
We don't *need* official endorsement.. We are doing this for us and them.. It's our fight not theirs.. They are just the beneficiaries along with us!
After all we are grown ups.. well most of us... :rollin: Do we need our hands held or egos stroked? (I can think of better things to stroke!! lol :rollin: )
Just think of us as the cavalry!! :rollin:
Let the cast and crew do their thing... and we will take care of business... :D :aok:
