Wondering About Keychains

Hey all. Didn't know if this was the proper place to post but it seemed like it...
Anyone been making keychains with Farscape stuffs on them? I'd buy one, definately.
Just curious. Hadn't seen anything about it...

PS DUH! If no one minds I can use Ratscape's Save Farscape posters and make 2" x 3" keychains. I would have to ask for recompense and postage though... the blank keychains are not that cheap. :( Say $5.00 plus postage?

that sounds like a good idea, I'd love a ratscape keychain, people could even collect some (there are quite a few) (i'd love a PK Propaganda one). But I'd suggest to ask Ratscape for permission first

Wow Chryse! Those are great! I'd buy one...but I need time to think about which one.
And if you're getting Ratscape's work, I'd like to see which ones of his you'd use first, too.

Hey Jacqui,

I downloaded (and keep downloading) all of Ratscape's stuff. I check that thread frequently. I love them.

As with the other keychains I've done, I do custom orders... so you pick which 2 of the available images you want on YOUR keychain. I assemble it and mail it off to you.

You wouldn't know how to get in touch with Ratscape would you? To make sure it's ok?

let me just remind you all about the copyright infringement issues involved with charging for images that are covered by the Henson Farscape copyright.... :eye:

actually, I'm charging for the keychain blanks, the photo paper, the ink, the envelopes, the padding, the paper cutter I bought just for the keychains, and the postage. :) Yes, I know, it's the same thing... but I'm also not making any money off of them either, just (barely) recouping my costs for the initial supplies.

be very clear here. you must not make any money from the sale of the keychains. you're charging for images that aren't yours and aren't licensed to you. if you make any profit whatsoever, it's copyright infringement. you must first obtain permission from ratscape. ratscape didn't obtain permission from Henson for his artwork, thus he would also be held legally responsible for any copyright infringement, not just you.

and I've never actually made any money off the keychains, the ones I made last year or the ones I'm planning now with Ratscape's images.

Give me a bit to refine the cost, it'll probably be less than $5, that was just an initial estimate.

Ok, rounding up to the nearest $.05, the total cost for 1 keychain, including postage, is approximately $4.15

Be warned though, I can only make it to the post office on the weekends. PM or email me if anyone wants 'em and don't forget to let me know which posters you want on BOTH sides of the keychain.
