Another idea to expand the family??

was just downloading the newest version of Winamp(yes i know i'm slow, what can i say i got comfy with the old and dependable) - but anyway the thought occured to me that now i would have to download new skins since my old ones will no longer work(sheds a small tear for my VERY cool Squall skin) - but enough of the babbling here's my idea...do we have any computer graphics people among us who could put together a skin(maybe more) for Winamp 3? I know there have been a few VERY well put together Skins in the past that have received a HUGE amount of downloading and exposure, those of you familiar with Winamp probably know what i mean when i drop a name like The Silence - so if someone could put together a frelling good skin it could offer just one more avenue of exposure for our beloved show - thoughts anyone?

What's different about winamp3 compared to winamp2?

I have a bunch of FarScape skins for the older version of winamp and if there isn't much difference in operations... why upgrade and loose those skins?

I've tried a good chunk of my downloaded skins - most partially work - but a few like my Squall one don't work at all

oh my bad - didn't understand your question sorry :)

after about 20 min of poking around looks like you still have all of the basics as far as the major components go

BUT it does look like they did rebuild it from the bottom up

much more in the way of graphics eye candy - more toys - and much more flexibility in customability for even the shapes of the skins just check some of these wild things out!! - probably one of the biggest changes which seems to take away the last reason for Window's Media Player's existence is that Version 3 can now play Video!!

quick explanation - Winamp is a media player - like DIVX or Windows Media Player or Quicktime or Real Player - they play everything from mp3s to video files to DVDs - Winamp is probably best described as the anti-windows media player - any other questions just lemme know :)
