Ok so I'm living in this new place...and my roommate..she's a big fan of the show. I've caught one episode in all the years it's on and I wasn't impressed..and I'm a scifi fan..but I'm picky.

Then my roommate talks about it off and on for a month.
She has the whole first season on DVD in a box set. So one day I'm bored and ask if I could watch the Premiere episode. She agrees and puts it in.

OH MAN! I'm hooked.
Since then we've watched the entire first season, all the second season (with the exception of "A Clockwork Nebari" since she doesn't have that ep on tape) and the season opener to the third season. Most of these watched in marathon sessions of 3 to 5 episodes at a time. It's a great show!

The characters are fantastic..what I find is that it is a largely character driven show as opposed to plot driven. Don't get me wrong the plots are great, but the characters are what makes it shine to me.

Crichton....he's funny, smart, and so full of pop culture references, it's impossible to keep a running count.

Zhaan....sensual, sensitive, and blue...nuff said.

D'argo....Tough as a klingon but with a great sense of humor.

Pilot....the man. For a puppet...he's amazing in eye movement and emoting various feelings.

Rygel.....You love to hate him.

Chiana......her walk slays me.

Stark.......insane but loveable.

and of course Aeryn......my favorite. I'd like to propose marriage to Claudia Black.
A strong female lead but in no way a stereotype.
She knocks me out every time she's on screen.

Especially in the season two threeparter and finale...the assault on the Shadow Bank.

You folks sure are inviting...I feel all gushy and stuff.
Like during Aeryn's funeral scene...when Rygel put the medallion thing into her coffin...but this is a good gushy feelin' instead of a sad gushy feelin'.

Hi!

I must say that you're coming up on my favorite season (season 3, especially the last half), so buckle in and enjoy the ride!

You are so lucky! But not in the way those other wonderful Scapers put it.

I can only catch episodes that are in the local video joint, we bought or ones that we caught at the end of season 4. I won't start on a long tarade, but I don't have the scifi channel at home and the expenses that my parents will spend on Farscape is $0.00 and my grandma won't give Farscape much. Only season 1, one pack of 2, two of 3. So you've seen more than me and not only that, I can't even watch Farscape at home! I have to watch all of my Farscape at my grandma's house, and most of the time I gotta walk there too.

Some kinda welcome, huh. I try my best...:ewink:

No, really. You don't know what you've gotten yourself into. The best thing that has happened to me other than Farscape is Farscape bboards. :D
