Sponsors?

Looks like we haven't had an episode sponsor for a long time. So, is this because (as someone suggested earlier) SciFi had some extra sponsorships lying around and now they're out? Or because the 12am reruns aren't getting good enough ratings to get sponsors? Or some other random reason I can't think about cause I'm listening to a conference call? Should we be concerned? Or just be happy that we had a few sponsors early on?

Also, I apologize for falling off the advertiser wagon. My work shift changed, but it changed again starting next week, so I'll be able to help again. :)

I think it signifies not very much. The lead time to placing most of the ads is so great (many months)-that I'm sure it has nothing to do with current ratings--and reported ratings for a particular show even have a lag time in the other direction--I think the sponsorships tend to be random, and are placed in various shows--not specific shows--Notice that sometimes an advertised show will have a sponsorship attached in the ad-"watch such and such next Tuesday brought to you by...or sponsored by..."-As I remember the ad thread, the sponsorships are cheaper than the ads--so maybe its often just a little extra spending on the part of a company as they spread their message hither and yon, or a deal with scifi for a package of ads of a certain size, or who knows, it might sometimes even be something like an extra owed the company by a mess up at the station for one of their previous ads--I really don't think these ads correlate too much either with immediate ratings or with our letters--The letter writing is about keeping the name in circulation, not about immediate gratification-or immediate influence.
