I swear, I honestly went to this website (http://terrytate.reebok.com/index.asp) to submit Shannen Dougherty for Terry's Hit List, but something came over me and forced my fingers to type in our favorite network President.
I know I'm gonna burn for this one :ewink:

Why wouldn't it get past their filters? Hey, they specifically asked if I knew anyone who needed "a slice of Terry's special Pain Cake" ::bats eyes innocently::

There seems to be a rash of ::bats eyes innocently:: going around, hope it's not too contagious...
It would be too funny to see old hit man Terry take out a certain network exec, bet they would fold up like an accordian...
Edited to add:
And if I may quote from Army of Darkness (that's AOD not DOA)
I may be bad, but I feel good... Zombie Shiela

Oh, gee, I didn't save it, Tara :(
But I'm sure the words "idiotic," "cancellation," "award-winning" and "promised fifth season" were in there somewhere :lol

room for one more in that tub of hell <G> i just submited her to for
the hit squad to hit next for the following reason
the woman is an idiot, her company (the sci-fi channel usa) broke there promises (farscape season five was promised and cancelled days before s4 had finished filming!) and replaces great quality programing with rubbish such as tremors and scare tatics. being in the uk i aint had the misfortune to see them yet but from what iv heard im lucky! please give farscape fan the world over the satisfaction of her being hit next!

Without a doubt, Bonnie Hammer is "NOT LIKED" :boom:
And if she truly speaking her mind, then I HOPE, Mr Tate will
take her for a ride on the "Pain Train" :train:
But being a BIG fan of Farscape, the Muppets and all things Henson,
I can't help but wonder if she is just being a puppet for the
Powers That Be. I mean, Bonnie DOES APPEAR to be a PUPPET,
I just would like to know WHO has thier hand up her EMMA
making her talk. :moon:
Granted, this is just a speculation on my part, but I can't shake
this feeling that somewhere, the people who are REALLY in
control, are sitting around having a good laugh. They set BH
up to become the FOCUS of our hate so we leave them alone.
She spews DREN to the media, we counter with FACTS (the media
does seem to be hearing us, especially those reporters in Boston).
And in a strange twist of fate, we actually help them promote thier
Frelling "New and Improved" lineup. :hork:
ANYWAYS, back to the subject, maybe we should PROMOTE
Mr Tate from "Office Linebacker" to "Executive Linebacker"
I can hear the bones cracking :rollin:
***** PLEASE NOTE *****
I don't like BH! I loath BH! And her picture has graced my dart
board since November 2002!! I just want all responsible for
Farscape's cancellation to PAY..... not just the focal point.......

Hey guys, Terry's Hit Squad was just a spur-of-the-moment joke. Let's not take it too seriously, 'kay? ;) Remember DK's words, "If I'm not mad at her, then you shouldn't be either" (or something to that effect).
I don't hate Bonnie Hammer. Yes, she frustrates me with her spinning, but that's her job. I am in agreement with those who suspect that she has been taking a lot of flak for decisions that were made over her head. So, when the opportunity arose to vent those frustrations in what I thought was a relatively good-natured way, I took it.
I apologize if I've stirred the pot too much. :(

i meant it as a joke to, just a way of venting.

DoA,
The "Picture in my Head" of Bonnie "spinning" a story for a
reporter and having Terry "correct her" is PRICELESS :aok:
And I thank you placing that image there.....
Bless DK and EVERYONE involved with Farscape....
And if he states "He's not mad at her / we shouldn't be"
I will accept that because I am sure he has a better view of the
OVER ALL situation better than I do.
BUT IT IS VERY DIFFICULT :headbang:
She :spin: and :spin: AND :spin: and I get so
ANYWAYS...... back on track...... I just needed to vent earlier and
the thought of BH getting a visit from the "hit squad" definitly
brightened my day :D

Beat her at her own game.
New assignment 'Scapers! UPI has an item about accepting press releases - I posted the e-mail link somewhere around here, twice. Why don't one of us polite and verbose-types write another response to Bonnie's nonsense, and send a copy to UPI, to TV Guide, and any other respectable, respected journal of note - Salon.com immediately comes to mind.
Frame the letter or article in terms of dissapointment and that sort of thing. House-captive Moms and Dads should have a particularly poignant tale to tell, as they can't get out of the house, like they used to, and rely on their pay-cable services more than ever. That alone should be able to topple some of the 'geek' stonewalling that we get from the major media. And then talk about Skiffy's broken promises, as if you're talking about your broken 401k plan.
Above all, don't mention this site, or our organizational powers, as it will just whet the flames of the 'geek-alert'. No planetary invasion or hostile takeover succeeded because the participants brandished their involvement in the conspiracy.
Just break out those indignant crocodile tears, and start writing those medium-profile rebuttals. If we can get at least one or two published in a national publication, we'll bbe doing something. If someone can disguise their commentary as a more general 'article' on the state of television these days, well heck, more power to you.
farscapefan4eva was off to a good start --- might I suggest an elaboration of her comments along these lines:Dear TV Guide/Reader's Digest/USA Today/Harper's, etc.:
Up until this Spring, one of the high-water marks of my home-life, was the Friday evenings I'd spend with my kids, watching Farscape.
Despite the stigmatism of it being on the SciFi channel, I found it to be a great means of blowing off the anxiety of the work-week, and sneaking some parenting in on my two boys, who generally prefer not to do things with 'Dear old Mom'.
But the Jim Henson Co. produced a show, unlike most other shows, provided both a context and a medium for me and my kids to talk about the value of friendship and family - and that, in spite of some sometimes objectionable content - but certainly nowhere as objectionable than some of the stuff that they encountered during a typical schoolday.
The SciFi channel and USA Networks and broke their promise to Farscape fans worldwide, despite Ms. Hammer's avowed dedication to 'fabulous fiction', SciFi and USA cancelled 'Farscape' because of the bottom-line: ratings, money and an inability to promote a show that would have been a hit on any other network, period. Any other broadcaster would have seen their way through to make money with this show through syndication deals and cross-promotion. But not SciFi.
Instead of the life lessons I was once able to share with my kids on Friday nights, I only have man-eating earthworms ('Tremors'), and mean-spirited practical jokes ('Scare Tactics'). I would rather leave the television off these days, rather than pollute my childrens' heads with this nonsense.

No worries, DoA - it's all good fun!:)
I think everyone here needs a good laugh now and again - and the image of BH being tackled by a linebacker is pretty hysterical, imo. :rollin:

All's good  It's just sometimes hard to tell when someone is kidding or not, and I know as Scapers, we don't want to get too carried away with the bashing (as tempting as it might be sometimes).
