Let's Try This Again - What to do with the Aurora Award Poll

Hi Gang,

Since there was so much initial confusion over the last poll, I've decided to start over and try this again. Hopefully, I'll have all of the options fully explained for everybody. For those of you who want to know grapeshot's and jfranka's opinions on getting a statue vis-a-vis a certificate go see their remarks over at http://www.watchfarscape.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=12002

I thought grapeshot and jfranka said in the other thread that they'd get their own if they wanted one (they preferred we spend the dollars on other things) and lots of people wanted a statue for the con kit and some wanted a statue for Henson. But every statue option starts with grapeshot and jfranka.

Please help me!

that's the reason why I referred people to check out the other thread for jfranka's and grapeshot's opinions.

People, if you have not yet, go read them first before you vote.

Jeff, I don't see any options for any statues without getting one for Grapeshot and jfranka? Am I reading it wrong?

aaargh, there's no option for just a statue with the Con kit! That would cost about $150. I don't need no statue, neither do I need a certificate. I believe that jfranka is of the same opinion. THIS award was won by ALL of us, and since we don't have physical headquarters, and the only physical "location" that SaveFarscape people can be found at is at a Con SaveFarscape Fan Table, then perhaps that's where the statue should go.

This is just my opinion, but it puts a tangible result for the public to see, AND still lets us spend most of our money on the really important things.

And, as long as I'm airing my opinions, I'm not so sure about a certificate (or even a statue) for Henson. No offense to the fine folks at Henson, but SaveFarscape.com won this award, and NOT Henson. They can go ahead and make their own award winning commercial! Heck, all of us here would be glad to give them advice on how to do that! :)

I guess it'll take a THIRD poll before I can get ALL of the possible permutations that will make everybody happy. Hey, I'm just doing my best. At some point somebody has got to say, that's fine you've got a point but we either need to move on or make a decision on what we have.

Can't we all have statues?

Seriously, lets get that sponsorship of Farscape paid for fast, while we have a chance of reaching millions of viewers with it. What a golden opportunity. Imagine thousands of hits a second on this site again, and this time we might be able to handle the traffic and multiply our membership many fold--It would mean more donations, more talent, more creativity, more hands. Let's not miss the opportunity--raise that $15000 fast!
