This is your resident phone Pa'u...checking in from vacation. I'll be home next week (after having been gone a month) and want to catch up on the campaign. So instead of me trying to sort through ALL of the news items and posts of the last month, I thought it would be nice if there were one concise thread about the campaign that I could read through. (Also helps other folks who are trying to catch up as well...)

So...in the past month (say starting June 1) what happened that you thought was important enough to catch up on or make note of???

Btw...can't wait to get back to you guys! What a blast to watch Farscape every night at TEN instead of midnight. I've been spoiled completely rotten!

Things that have happened:
-Ben won a TV Guide Emmy poll. By a landslide over Buffy.
-Tiriel has parts of her recap from the Saturns. Very funny stuff.
-The To-Do lists have been re-instituted.
-SaveFarscape register users here on the board reached 4000!

- jfranka and grapeshot et al. won the Golden Aurora Award!
- Ms Hammer opened her moth momentarily to replace the foot that was in there with another (although I'm not sure if that's worth any news, it's not really an uncommon occurance anymore)
- Stars managed to send yet another singing telegram to Ms Hammer (either they like them or I'm starting to understand why they don't "get" Farscape: If you can't guess that if it's a singing telegram it's probably from the Scapers by the third time it happens...well, I'm hoping they just like it :D)
- ratscape came up with another brilliant design to send along to Skiffy every Wednesday (so it gets there on Friday)

An ebayer offered a lot of 60 Farscape DVDs at a tremendous price:D Thanks to all the terrific Scapers donating, Boston Scapers are getting twenty, Mickie's got twenty and the other twenty should be waiting for you when you get back.

Cookbook II coming soon, with a poll to possibly also have available a poster of the cover, a wall calender and a themed apron (for bbqs).

11,000 potential converts to Farscape at Origins, a gaming convention that's going to be held this coming weekend (beginning 6/26). This has been organized by njak, akimbo, scrubchick, and charmedmeat. They have raised over $511 (and are receiving a matching grant from the Beyond Hope Fund), which will let them purchase a vendor's table, and have enough flyers and bookmarks printed up, and some buttons made. They are also planning on taking down some survey data, and have secured the LOAN of a laptop for this purpose. They are getting the Con kit, and between them, they are planning on building a working DRD. They've gotten some nice swag, PLUS some free companion books to the Farscape computer game, which they plan to hold drawings for. All in all, they've done a SUPER job organizing this effort to convert 11,000 people who as yet don't know how much they're going to LOVE Farscape!

And we've reopened the Scaper demographic survey to new people who've joined us since November 2002 -- haven't heard what the totals are to date, but we had over 1,000 new Scapers provide their information in the first couple of days :D

And the auction for the Scifi channel is officially open--besides the already known shoppers, NBC has also shown an interest.

And the restart of the national ad campaign. Oh and on a smaller scale, my local Best Buy and Blockbuster now appear to have a plethora of Farscape DVD's available. The Blockbuster only ever had one, the BOS1 dvd, now they have all of season 2 and one of season 3. The Best Buy used to only have a couple of S1 DVD's. Now they have 20 -- 2 box sets (one was just bought yesterday), a BOS1, and the rest are season 2 and 3. Its very gratifying to see this.

Farscape won the Saturn Award, I hooked a friend on Farscape.......she bought TiVo just to tape the eps. I think that's really news.....since eveyone I mention Farscape to is like "Eh??". Have fun, I wish I could afford a vacation!

Thank you. It's wonderful to be back. I have tons of catching up to do in RL as well as here...but at least I'm back.

I'm slowly working my way through the PO Box stuff for the military campaign. It's so cool to have a huge box to go through! It's awesome to spend the evening surrounded by Farscape stuff. :D
