A lot of people have mentioned bumper stickers at one time or another. Makestickers.com lets you customize stickers, with a huge number of templates and arty stuff, plus you can upload an image to be used on the sticker. If you buy 'em singley, they're $4.95, but they get cheaper if you buy in bulk (50 for $65; cheapest is 250 for $170.) Oval, black-and-white stickers are cheaper, and one of them makes a very classy "Moya". So, would it be worth coming up with a few ideas and order in bulk, sell 'em above cost and give profits to the Riot fund, or new Ad fund thingy? Use them as give-aways at cons? Etc! :D

Digital Anarchist had some pretty cool ones. I think Guy Riccardo could come up with something. I know I want one. I just didn't like some of the ones I've seen. I know I'd like it to have the website address. Since the SCapecon is coming up soon it would be great to sell some there. I know they would probably sell out fast..... But some one needs to come upl with a colorful idea. A real attention getter/

Ammitt, not to put down your idea, which comes from a good place, but......

Copyright is an issue anytime you talk about selling something using someone else's intellectual property. Technically, Makestickers.com shouldn't allow you to use such material, but even so, I doubt you'd get in trouble for ordered 1 or 2. Pretty much stays within the realm of 'fan use'. Bulk ordering 50 or more, with the intention of making a profit. Definately crossing the line, even if that profit is donated to a good cause.

So that where does that leave you.

You could make your own using outdoor (water resistant) label paper for inkjets. The drawback with this is that inkjet ink typically isn't uv resistant, so sun fade becomes a problem. You could use a UV spray laminate to extend the fade time, but that's not permanent either.

The only other option I can think of is to stay away from Henson's intellectual property. I know TPTB won't allow this sites url used without meeting that stipulation.

g'point on copyright stuff, guy. Although, I guess *technically* even using something like "frell" or "I (heart) Aeryn Sun" would violate intellectual property, no? Will TPTB let watchfarscape.com be on something with "frell" on it? Either way, frell the profit, we'll give 'em for cost, who cares, we can have a bake sale for the ad fund. =)

Im all out of logo's but,
(pulled from the "You Know you're Addicted" Threads)

-"Frell You, Flax Off" (prbly not the best choice ;) )
-"I brake for Wormholes"
-"My other car is a PK Prowler" (prbly not good, cause of the Prowler cars...)
-"My other car is a Levithan"
-"Irreversibly Contaminated" (although with the state of the world these days...)
-"Won't Get Fooled Again!"
-"Powered by Foonium"
-"OZME"
-"Displacement Drive On-Board"
-"DRD On Board"
-"Farscape Snurcher"

I want a Moya sticker almost just like that one! :)

Where's cofax when we need her?

The "Frell me Dead" one could work *IF* Henson hasn't trademarked the term "frell". It's not just the copyrights to contend with but the trademarks as well. I know that Kerlin did some research into this some time ago. You might want to PM her and ask her opinion.
