OK, here's another idea for your consideration:
DK has said that what they really need in order to save Farscape is someone with a "big bag of money" to step up. I think maybe that someone could be Paul Allen, of Microsoft fame. He certainly has a big bag of money *and* he has a company called "Vulcan Ventures" whose express purpose is to invest in, among other things, Film & Entertainment projects. They are invested in DreamWorks SKG and own the TechTV cable channel, which does produce some original programming as well as showing some SF-oriented reruns.
At their website,
http://www.vulcan.com
they describe what they are looking to invest in and exactly how to submit a proposal. They say: "Vulcan invests in established, operating businesses that are involved in technology." I think that Henson's Creature Shop fits this description, hell, they practically *invented* the technology of puppeteering.
I don't think Vulcan would take kindly to a flood of letters or email, though. What we really need is someone capable of enlisting the powers that be (DK, Henson, ?) to put together a proper proposal. Who do we know with access to these guys who could make this happen??
