SCI FI CHANNEL - a subsidiary of Universal Television – the home of imagination and winner of multiple prestigious awards for its outstanding and innovative design, is looking for a Mechanical Artist that pays exceptional attention to detail and has a ‘can-do’ attitude.
SCI FI Marketing – Mechanical Artist - New York City
As Mechanical Artist, you'll assume responsibility for preflighting all files in a production capacity, including live area, trim, bleed, photo retouching, color correcting and coordinating and executing resizing projects. You'll also organize, maintain, and meet multiple scheduled project requirements within tight deadlines and in compliance with brand integrity and continuity by coordinating with a team of designers, project managers and production managers. In addition, you'll channel project information to cleared personnel; maintain digital archive files and relevant paperwork.
THIS IS NOT A GRAPHIC DESIGN POSITION.
Job Requirements:
· 2+ years' experience in a print production environment
· Advanced knowledge of QuarkXPress, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe PhotoShop, Preflight Software, and Acrobat
· Knowledge of Microsoft Office
· Ability to work in a highly team-oriented, collaborative environment
