Right, after using Babelfish I have summised the following:

1. Only the top two go through each week.
2. After 32 weeks, the 64 qualifiers go through to a knockout?!? stage.
3. It will be possible to add new candidates to the weekly vote from february onwards.

In the case of No. 3, it would be wise to start thinking about which would be good weeks (ie. with no strong competition) to add Raelee, Francesca and Tammy to the poll.

Every week visitors can vote for the two most beautiful (wo)men of every group. This will result in 64 candidates after 32 weeks. Every week the list of candidates will shorten by means of a knock-out system. At the end of the year the only candidate left on the list will be the winner.

Good day. Though this is my first post, I have been lurking about for quite a long while. And don't worry, I have been voting for all the Farscape crew!

I just wanted to ask why you seem to think Claudia needs 500+ votes for her to be in the final running? The front pages of the polls for most popular man and woman for 2005 at Nationale Opinie state that there will be 32 weeks of preliminary polls and that the top 2 finishers in each of the polls in this round (for 64 total) will go on to the next round to face 'a series of rounds of sudden eliminations' or some such from what I gather from the vague translation. What exactly will happen next is a little vaguely laid out on the front pages.

I realize that a few people have received 500+ votes in previous polls of this round, but that's no guarantee that they will receive that in the next round. For instance, right now is not a great time to have everyone mobilized for a poll (summer, vacations, etc.), so maybe we're not getting everyone we might. I don't even see any reason to believe why the vote totals for this round would have any bearing on the next round beyond supplying the 64 names to participate in the next round. These Nationale Opinie polls tend to go for the entire year, so I don't think we will see the end results until the end of December.

So, as far as I can see, the most important thing to accomplish is to get Claudia finished first by as big a margin as we can and start worrying about absolute numbers in succeeding polling rounds. By that token, I believe Anthony is through to the next round, no problem. Think of it as 'Opinion Poll Survivor' and no one from Farscape (with the unfortunate exception of Virginia) has been voted off of the island yet.

So, the long and short of it is don't worry and DON'T FORGET TO VOTE EVERY DAY! :)

Now, if anyone knows for certain that they have changed how they are conducting this from how they have it laid out on the front pages of the polls, then please feel free to correct me. ;)

Amazing??? That's not the word I'd use JR. It is just an indication of what I have been saying all this year that many of the faithful Farscape fans who voted all last year to put Wayne and the others into the favorable position on the poll are just not bothering to vote any more. They got their mini-series. I would also like to say that if a person can't be bothered to vote during the year, then what makes us think that we're going to get a huge turn out for the final round?

There's only a faithful few of us who have kept on voting this year so that Farscape can stay in the limelight. No doubt people who see the Farscape cast on the poll check out to see why they are so popular and that means checking out Farscape.

Tonight, Wayne has only 38 votes.... that means that only about 12 or 13 people have voted each day this week. 12 or so out of over 8,000 registered at this site and many more at Kansas and TF and a couple of other sites. It's not amazing, it's pretty sad .... dare I say pathetic.
