Thanks. Pretty cool! Soon enough it will be a year with Farscape the number one show. I wish the BBC would pick up Farscape for another season. that would mean we probably wouldn't get it in the US until a year or so later, but at least Farscape would continue. And I could always buy the DVD's.

I think there must have been significant "vote stuffing" for the BBC to have done this. The rules are not that explicit, quote "You can vote once a day in each vote category". That raises the question of a single computer in a household with several individual Scapers who wish to vote. If they did what is necessary to allow each individual to vote once a day is that cheating? According to the BBC rules it is not. Whether that leeway has been abused or interpreted as cheating is another matter. It's a very difficult area to track with people having dynamic IP address assignment, removing cookies etc. So I suspect they must have very strong evidence of irregularities. When it comes down to basics all of these on-line voting systems rely on people being honest if they are to be believed. As has been said, they're more of an indication of people's tenacity than anything else.

Just a comment. I have extremely high speed internet access and I find it slow to vote on the nationale opinie poll. I cannot imagine how frustrating it must be for people on dial up.

I don't think it is a good idea to keep adding people to the poll. After a while this just becomes a chore - rather than a fun and frivolous way to contribute.

I feel the same way but I'm determined that this poll will not go the same way the others have.
If just 1% or our FMD members (60) voted on this poll every day, Ben, Claudia and the other Farscape stars would be right up at the top of the poll.

I’d love to know why Brittany Spears gets 300+ votes every day and Ben and Claudia can barely scrape up 20 votes most days.

I vote twice per day except on weekends (once at work on my work computer, and once at home on my home computer). I know Nicola votes every day too so that means there are only 17 other Scapers voting from everywhere most days! Now that is depressing :pace:

Quite a few of our stars have Farscape next to their names so that's a plug every time someone sees it. If they are not Farscape fans they probably wonder "what is Farscape?". If they click on Ben's Photo they get a good idea and they get links to FMD and other Scaper sites. Those are potential viewers. It's the same story with the other Farscape cast members on the poll.

Ben especially, is great PR for Farscape (even if his name was spelled incorrectly). But, at the current voting rate, he is about to drop down the poll instead of moving up!

Ben needs to be in the top 10, but he needs about 100 votes a day to get that kind of exposure. Hundreds of people vote for the people above and below Ben every day, and they should be seeing Ben move up and that should make them curious about Farscape.

Only we can make that happen! And, the only way we can do it, is to vote and vote consistently every day!

Yes it's an inconvenience, and at times a chore because the site takes time to load all those dozens of images, but it's a small inconvenience and it's actually fun to see the places change each day. It is also free! There are few things we do to promote Farscape that are totally free!

So how about it folks? Why not make a commitment to vote on this poll every day! Do it for Farscape!

good the mini-series is, on the ratings Farscape got in the past, and
whether there's a suitable slot for it. They might pay a little bit of
attention to how many emails the info@bbc.co.uk address has had, but
they already know that the show is popular, so it'll only be a little
bit. They won't pay any attention to online polls and things at all.
