At the end of this episode Scorpius and Chrichton stood only a jump away from eachother but neither moved to attack. Scorpius seemed to have lost his previous anger for chrichton, and even though there was a wall of fire in between them he coudl have easily jumped it to kill chrichton. The thing that shocked me the most was that near the end there i could have sworn chricthon was about to give scorpius a ride in his module. Did anyone else get the feeling that john felt sorry for him?
One other question...how come everyone wants to leave after this? I know they are feeling Crais death but still how does seperation from your loved ones help that?

"One other question...how come everyone wants to leave after this? I know they are feeling Crais death but still how does seperation from your loved ones help that?"
As part of Crichton's deal, D'Argo and Rygel got information that they want to act on (D'Argo about Macton and Rygel about his cousin who grabbed power). Aeryn can't handle being around the remaining Crichton. Jool wants an opportunity to get her life back on track. Until now, John's main goal has always been to get home. That only leaves Chiana, and with Crais & Talyn dead, also, I guess it just seems like a natural time for them to all move on. They didn't choose to be together in the first place and have always had their own individual agendas at the expense of the others. They will now be essentially putting their money where their mouths are, and moving on.
Therefore, the choices they make that bring them back together will have that much more meaning.

The thing that really gets me about this episode is John's reaction to Crais' news that he is going to die for John's cause.
Imagine this: a man, whose brother died in an accident that you were a part of, who chased you, tried to torture you, beat you, you suspect that he wants to steal your girl, thinks he's betrayed you and your friends, is suddenly ready to die for YOUR cause.
How would you feel? I feel that if I were John, I would say at least thanks. Instead, John says nothing other than he'll get his distraction. He leaves the room, stops, and almost goes back in, but continues on.
I get the feeling that John still at that point, can't forgive Crais. Even though Crais made a complete 180 from when we first meet him to the moment he says "Talyn. Starburst."
Don't get me wrong. I really like all three of them: John, Scorpy and Crais. It's amazing to me that all three of them are so very three dimensional. There are some real faults with John, trustworthiness with Scorpious, and selflessness with Crais.
As to the whole thing as to why Scorpy didn't kill Crichton is obvious. That was never Scorpy's intention. Scorpy never hated John. He used John the only way he knew how for what he believed was the greater good. Scorpy would gladly and easily kill fourty people to save four thousand. To him, it's more of an equation than a moral problem. So why kill John now? It won't do him any good now. Best to reset and start again. Killing John will not achieve his goal of destorying the Scarrens.

About the Crais think it also really made me wonder why John did not. Perhaps he thought that Crais would rather do this as a thankless job. Though i think your right deep down he just could not forgive Crais for all he made John go thru. Hmm if only there was a possibility of brining Crais back we could see. You know there was that planet of the dead...they could go back there and see if they could bring Crais back into corporeal living. Especially if they had Stark with them...
About Scorpius i suppose your right. He doesnt seem to take pleasure in what he does...just is the ultimate incarnation of the end justify the means. I wonder if he sent Noranti to help keep crichton alive....

I wonder if he sent Noranti to help keep crichton alive....
Wow! What a great suggestion! It would explain a comment that Scorpy says about her later in the next season. (I won't say because I don't want to give out a spoiler.)
It would explain why she hasn't liked Aeryn from the beginning. It seems to me that Noranti has been trying to keep John separate from Aeryn.
I'd go into more details, but again, I don't want to give out spoilers.... :)

Zantar: I also thought John was about to offer Scorpius a ride off the CC. Also the way he sort of smiled when he said that they had gotten very close to solving the wormhole problem.
I also gained new insight into why Aeryn is in such a mess by the end of this episode. I had never realized the first time viewing this episode that the CC was where Aeryn was born and raised. This was her home. These were her family as much as she had one. The look on her face in the healing mist room when John first suggests that they blow up the CC says it all. She's pregnant and has that encounter with the young girl on the training ground and her former best friend. Also, the emotions are right there just under her skin. She has a series of confrontations with her best friend. When questioned about why she didn't come back to the PKers she only says that she chose to stay away but leaves unstated why, (her love for John), then she watches her best friend get crisped during the destruction of the CC. Destroying the CC took a toll on her. The fact that she does it is a statement about how far she is willing to go for her love for John.

Wow! Excellent points, seattlescaper. Even with all that, she is dealing with the meeting and death of her mother, and the death and "Oh, there he is," of her love.
With that and all you said, it's a wonder why she didn't put on a Stark mask and scream "Your side! My side! Your side! My side!!" :)

Indeed very good points. I had not thought of the CC as aeryns home.
Anyway back to the noranti thing. What did Scorpy say about her in the fourth season?

*spoiler season 4*
He said something to the affect, of bring her to them in 'Bad Timing'
I also distrust her, I have always felt she was 'up to something' I still think so. She may look old but....
As far as Aeryn, I mean god, she's pregnant, leave them be, they need to be together for the child.
