Hi all,
I am new to the wonderful world of online fandom and what better way to introduce me to it than Farscape? I am a big Xena, B5 (haven't seen it all though) and Star Trek fan and have recently become addicted to Farscape. I am catching up on eps rapidly thanks to my Sunday nights and friend's collection. So here I am in the middle of season 3 and loving every minute of it. I greatly admire what Save Farscape is doing!

:Hey, all, I am brand new to this site, and concerning Farscape, I 've just got to testify. I have been an SF fan since the original Star Trek in the '60's. I have been thorough all of the Star Trek series, B5, more movies than I can count, Battlestar Galactica in the '70s, and one I particularly liked, but nobody seems to mention, Space: Above and Beyond.
I have never seen any of them that could rival Farscape. Character development, effects, plots, sets, you name it. When I first saw Farscape, I saw a couple of episodes somewhere in the middle of the seasons, and I thought it was pretty far out for me. When Scifi started to rerun all, I became addicted. I now have all of season 1 on VHS, (don't have DVD yet) and have taped all of season 3 off of Scifi. I am working on season 4 now and will buy season 2 like I did season 1.
It is criminal that Scifi quit the show like they did. To leave such an addicting series with a "To be Continued" is unthinkable. By the way, I have never tried to garner all of the episodes of any series before. That should say a lot.aok:

I, too, am a new kid in town. I do, however, have the viewing advantage. I am getting all the episodes from Netflix. I can watch several a day - I am hooked! I haven't been this into viewing since I first discovered Jay and Silent Bob!

There's nothing wrong :bonk: with being a Scaper. Okay granted, we can be a little weird :nana: ... at times :flower: which may scare :horror: non-Scapers but we really are a wonderful :signtroll bunch :multi: of creative :idea: people with fun :freak: personalities:wingnut:. I am impressed with the welcome and camaderie of this group. I am also learning some things. I didn't know what netflix was, and when I read lorannep's response, I got curious and found out. Seems like a good deal.
Also, it seems obvious that this fanbase is growing. Think that for every fan that takes the step of registering with this group, there are probably five more that just don't make a habit of getting involved in these things.
I earnestly hope we can make our feelings known to the people who can help bring this show back.
I know I will persevere and never give up hope.:rollin:

You probably won't find a better group of people around than Scapers simply because Scapers make everybodyf feel welcomed. Feel free to lurk as much as you would like or to post as much as you would like because people will listen!

Welcome to the family newbies!!!! :hugz: Scapers are absolutely amazing and caring people. I just attended Scapercon and everyone there really took care of me. The SFS staff took me out to dinner:smooch: :love: . people were giving me stuff for free. folks were even carrying my luggage. Scapers are just amazing people:hi:
