Did some browsing through the threads and did not see much from WA. Where is everybody?

That would be me. Haven't seen much from anyone else. Closest I came was a thread for Oregon scapers.

Hmmm... Looks like I have to start running a Join the Save Farscape Campaign at some of the local Con's...

Allkair, hope you have better luck than me! I'm having a "no show" in Minnesota. Perhaps my fellow staters are all stricken with "west nile virus". KEEP UP THE FIGHT!!!!

I'm in Washington State! SW Washington to be exact. I joined the Oregon scapers cause I'm only 20 minutes from Portland, Oregon.

There are a ton of scapers closer to Seattle which is quite a drive for me. Again, why I joined the Oregon fans.

There has to be a seattle scaper web group.

Look up a group called smegscapers in yahoogroups. I don't know if they are still active, but they were located mostly Olympia/Tacoma/Seattle scapers.

Don't know why there isn't a Seattle scaper thread here on FMD. Maybe there is and I missed it.

The last post by Washington fans I could find was from February.
there is a graphic artist here named nhfearme who is from Washington that runs an awesome yahoogroup list:

We met her at the Portland convention!

Excellent. Thanks for the website. My groups next con is until January so I may have to go the email route to get a few more folks until then.

Thanks!

Hi! I'm a Scaper from Pullman, Washington- just a bit south of Spokane. There are about 7 or so of us here, but we are very internet illiterate. But we're doing our best here for Farscape: writing letters, posting flyers at WSU, and we ran and advertised some Farscape Fridays at the local library.

Another Washington state fan here, you're not alone! In fact I have a whole family of 'em, I should take them to protest, they're more annoying than Rygel.

I am a washingtonian as well. Live to the east of Seattle and trying to spread my addiction to Farscape to all my friends.

Seems like a few us Washington folks are lurking about.

Any of you attened local SciFi cons like Rusty, Norwes, or this years Wester? If not you should.

Maybe we should all try to gather up sometime at a con, or maybe a BBQ.

Later,
Allkair

I missed Westercon this year. I'm going to try to get to InCon at Spokane, October 17-19. If anyone else gets over this way, let me know and we can try for a meet-up. I'm definitely sending up a bunch of Farscape flyers to put on the flyer table.

You know, I've lived in Spokane 9 years now, and have yet to actually attend Incon. I guess I'm just not the convention type. Besides, I game on the weekends...

I hear that InCon has some great gaming... You should check it out.

I have never been to one, but I know some of the staff.

I talk with a couple of guys from Merlyn's, the local gameshop, who help run Incon.

I've always thought about gaming at conventions, but I'm picky about the type of people I run games with...too worried about conflicts in style.

I am wondering how many of us local folks are going to be attending Rustycon in January? I have the last of the Farscape auction items left over from the pack sent to us from our friends here at Save Farscape. I am hoping to be able to send them a nice big donation between the auction at Wester and this next one at Rusty.

If you are going to be attending be sure to stop by the Imperial Starbase Society (I.S.S.) club table and place a bid on a set of DVD's, cookbook, action figure, etc. Even if you have a set already they can make great gifts and and are awesome ways to introduce new fans.

If you happen by the convention be sure to look me up. I am running the Services department for the convention this year, but I will be around my group club table as time permits. I would love to talk 'Scape with anybody.

If you are interested in attending prereg is always reccomended to save a bit of cash. Check out www.rustycon.com for information.

I hope to see plenty of the NW Scapers there.

I'd love to attend RustyCon, but it really depends: First, what the passes are like. Second, can I get the weekend off. But, if I'm there, I'll definitely look you up!

Just to let those that are interested know Rustycon (www.rustycon.com) just got it's online registration up and running, and you can use paypal instead of sending a check.

I've just found out: I WILL be attending InCon, if only on Saturday evening. I hope to see some Scaper fans there. I'll try to wear a t-shirt or something to identify myself as such. Anyone else going? Please let me know, I would love to meet you!

Well, InCon ended today. I did not meet anyone from this website, but I did put out Farscape flyers and wore my brand-new comm badge throughout the convention. This got me compliments and questions from those who recognized it.

I even got into a discussion about com badge construction from a guy who had made one and entered it into the convention art show, along with his replicas of a Star Trek med kit and other technical doohickies from science-fiction shows.

The entire convention was fun and word of Farscape did get around.

I'm in Bellingham. Seems I might as well say "I'm in Siberia" for all the Farscape action up this way. Although I have made quite a few converts.

Hey just came to Washington, Im on McCord Air Force Base, it's pretty much in Tacoma. I'm new th the area and to this whole thread thing. I'd like to hear about when and where any cons are around here.

Beav, you're pretty far from me, but there are a lot of Scapers in the Seattle/Tacoma area. And I'm sure the campaign people would love to get you involved in finding copies of the DVDs for the base.

Dissappear for a little while and looks what happens... We get a 4 hour mini series. With luck that is just a taste of things to come.

In recent local convention news... I hear Incon was pretty good. I was only able to see it from the parking lot since I had to go and catch a plane.

RustyCon is now going to be SeaTac, at the Radisson. Planning is going well, and online registartions is up and running. Looks like my group of cohorts will be hosting a party in Hosptallity. For the couple of new folks to the list this Convention is in January, and runs about 700 people.

NorwesCon is in April, and is the big local area con with 2000+ (I heard they topped 3k this year).

Hope everybody is well.

Thanks,
Allkair
