During last weekend's FARSCAPE panel at the San Diego Comic-Con, one fan asked the question that's been on all our minds: is a deal coming together that will give us more adventures of the Moya crew? Is there a four-hour mini-series in the works??

"It's a possibility," answered FARSCAPE star Ben Browder, being very careful to not get fans hopes too high. Browder also had heard the rumor reported last week by IGN FilmForce that a mini-series might be in the early stages of business development, one that would wrap up the storylines left dangling by the conclusion of season four.

After calling FARSCAPE producer David Kemper (Error: Ben called Brian Henson) in London, England to ask him what he could say about the rumor, Kemper's (Henson's) reply was one that ignited further speculation. What could Browder say about the possible mini-series plans? "Nothing."

The FARSCAPE panel was well attended and both the stars and the fans assembled seemed to enjoy the chance to interact. At one point a fan wished that all of the FARSCAPE actors could be present so they could thank them. That prompted Browder to reach into his bag, yank out his cellphone and dial Claudia Black's phone number. After reaching an answering machine, Browder quickly said into the mike "Some people here want to say hello to you," and then thrust out the phone at the audience who went nuts.

Did I miss something? :eye: In all the reports I've seen here @SFS, I've NEVER seen this comment!!! It's always been that Ben said he was told to say "nothing". Can someone clear this up for me? Did he actually say, "It's a possibility"? :dunno:

Thanx--
Regards,
B :coffee:

this has been reported in several places. a mini-series is just as possible as a movie or anything else. that was his point. it's all possible.

I'm just beginning to learn about Cons. I read where ComicCon (which is mainly about comic books?) had an attendence of 65,000. Maybe it's because all the articles (not including the reports from fans who attended) I've read in the last couple days came from Farscape Bboards, but isn't it a bit unusual that there are so many articles about Farscape? Did it get this much press last year?

Not that I'm complaining. :)

Farscape wasn't cancelled this time last year, so that could have an impact.

ComicCon is a celebration of popular arts with the emphasis on comics and the influence comics have on film, television et al, but it also covers gaming, both board and video, television, film and fiction. it's probably the largest con in the US, and arguably the largest, or one of, in the world.
