I'm new to this BB: What's Comicon?

I'm desperate to help get Farscape back on the air, and I'm reading everything I can find on this site. I see a lot about Comicon, and I've read that a lot of Scapers managed to get on the phone with Farscape stars somehow (yeah!), but...what exactly IS Comicon? Thanks for your help.

A Comicon is a comic book convention, apparently the LARGEST comic book convention (never been myself) In addition to buying and selling comics, they usually have guests in the comics field as well as stars and creators of TV shows and movies.

I did go to a convention with a friend in Boston earlier this year, and they had Anthony Simcoe (D'Argo) and Gigi Edgly (Chiana) as well as Lando Calrissian and the little mush-mouth guy that was his co-pilot.

The stars have Q&A sessions, like the one the Farscape panel had last week.
