Farscape IS addictive! Before Farscape, all I had was Lexx and Star Trek. They're really good shows, but they amazingly pale in comparison! Since we're targeting new audiences, is anyone challenging Trekkies to watch Farscape once, to see if the fan base increases? Since Star Trek isn't on the SciFi channel, they're probably missing out.

I'm a long time Trekkie and huge FS fan. Sadly, all the other Trekkies I know have seen Farscape and don't like it.

In my Scaperpade, I've frequently referred to my recent obsession with FS on the boards of st.com and have come across a few people who have acknowledged being Scapers.

I was a Trekkie long before I was into Farscape (and now Star Trek is cold and lifeless in comparison to the wonders of the Scaperverse), so it's a fine plan to try.

I'm a Trek, but I also loved Farscape.

All the same my favourite series ever still is Deep Space Nine :ewink:!
In my opinion no series reaches the complexity of Trek episodes with its long dialogues, its balance between calmness and action, its formidable writing, ...!

But it's a Scape board, so I don't start raving about DS9 too much ;)!

I was a convert from Star Trek to Farscape. Used to love Star Trek TNG as a kid (I was a real techie sort of kid). Then I started watching Star Trek: Voyager. I loved the premise of Federation Starship stranded in the far reaches of the galaxy and it did have some very enjoyable episodes but it always frustrated me. The characters didn't have enough depth and episodes rarely had follow-on consequences. That's why it was such a relief to discover Farscape and find out what I was missing out on.
