I choose Season 4 Aeryn, mostly cause she is an evolving character and it is such a charge to see her change and evolve and remain true to the inner core of her character.

I have to say Claudia Black is a fantastic actress. Doesn't matter what the writers do to Aeryn (and they test her in terrible ways), Claudia manages to make Aeryn's evolution believable, understandable and so very, very ... human.

I suppose if I were to vote for a particular season, it may as well be season two. This is mainly because I'm now viewing that season on the sci-fi channel (UK). I have actually seen parts of season three, but can't quite remember the plots.

Just like an earlier poster stated that Aeryn is Aeryn, and so for me if I could remember all episodes in all seasons I would probably find it very difficult to choose.

Anyway, one of the reasons why I like Farscape so much is that Aeryn kinda reminds me of someone I once knew. The nose is all wrong, but the legs are just about right - all the way up to her armpits.:)

Okay, this is a seriously hard question to answer because even from the beginning, CB's protrayal of Aeryn Sun has been awesome. I choose season three mainly because she was sooo great in The Choice (should have at least been nominated for an emmy for that episode alone) and I think that it is the single best performance for the character of Aeryn Sun in the entire series to date.

I can't choose, because they are one character, just at different stages of development. I liked her from the beginning, and she's really my favorite character. In a lot of ways, Farscape is more her story than Crichton's.

I had a hard time choosing because Aeryn is Aeryn (well, unless she's a bug or a bioloid), but I finally voted for season 3. Like seattlescaper, The Choice was probably the ep that put me over the edge.

Season 2 Aeryn all the way. Loved the battle pony. Loved the shoot first ask questions later and get things done attitude.

Season 3 Aeryn would have to be the runner up.
Season 4 Aeryn would have to be the absolute last ....

All of them are great, i cannot choose. All of the seasons show a part of her that is so great, and as John said at the beginning, "you can be more", she just followed :D

I would have to point that S4 Aeryn smiled a lot, and i think Claudia has a beautiful smile so only if my life depended on it i would choose S4 Aeryn just for that small fact :D SMILE

I chose season two Aeryn for the reasons stated above and because she was still coming to the point in which she could say "I love you John." I loved The Choice just like everyone else did, and Claudia's portrayal has always been amazing, but that evolution was the most amazing thing to me.

To different degrees, all of them. She is made up of all the parts that were displayed through all four years, wouldn't have had it any other way. Of course like previously stated, if I absolutely had to choose just one, year four, just for all the experiences of the previous years.

Season 1-2 Aeryn. She was just cooler, still human and aprochable (she just hid it better) but not wussy in the slightest way. She lugged that useless hump of a wanna be boyfriend out of the middle of noware in the princess trilogy despite her own broken leg. Later Aeryn delt with her stress (of loosing John of course) by drinking herself stupid... Despite the fact she had a spare waiting at home. Sure its one of my favorite all time episodes but that doesn't change what it depicted.

Basically she went soft and was more interesting before hand. I also wasn't likin all them warm and lovable smiles we got from her later. I want my grouchy, stone faced commando bitch back.

You got to admit her constant insulting of Chrichton was often hyterical.

Well, I got to go with season 3, altho every one of them was good. But the scene where Talyn John died and the following "Choices" did the trick.

I had to say season 3. By then she had gotten in touch with her emotions, only to have them squashed when John died. It was really hard to choose among the first 3 seasons. I liked her in all three and there was great character development.

I really never liked Aeryn in season 4. I kept having the feeling that my Aeryn had been kidnapped. It was in part the hair extensions and the new makeup, but the aloofness and just general oddity of her behavior bothered me. I blame that on the whole baby storyline which never should have been. I keep hoping that season 4 is a figment of John's imagination due to oxygen starvation. I know others love the genius of it, but I'm not one of them.

I prefer Aeryn around seasons 2 & 3, 4, Aeryn's hair just bugged me. There was too much of it and it didn't look, well *real* till the end of the season. I agree with LTG, her behavior was a little off. If we had some idea where she'd been and what she'd been doing with the anti-terrorist group she, it might have made more sense how she was acting.

Her eyebrows were different in season 4. Before they were DRAMATIC. One of the first things I noticed in Promises were her eyebrows. They were much thinner :)
