Hey to everyone out there :)

I only just recently started to watch Farscape. I recall seeing an episode a long time ago( a couple years ago), or part of one rather and I watched and wondered what this crazy show was. It was like nothing i'd seen before. Unfortunetly, I never found out until just recently what it was I had been watching. I became an insta-fan when I watched the Premiere episode, I loved it. I ended up watching 3 episodes in a row the next day, I loved it soo much. Better late then never I guess you could say.. Of course becoming instantly insane over the show, I went to look to see what season it was on etc.. and to my major disappointment it was cancelled already.. a crushing blow right from the start with the series :(

on the bright side I still have plenty left to watch..

Q: Where can I possibly get dvd's (bare in mindI have no credit card) I have only really been watching on my computer.. and have watched most of season 1. I'd rather get the dvd's and actually support the show(regardless if I watch all the episodes, I still want a copy of it on dvd). I live in Canada and have had 0 luck finding any dvd's at retail stores to this point. Any suggestions/help would be appreciated.

Welcome Farscape Forever!:hi:

I have to do a double take anymore when someone says they're a newbie. I think, 'But wait a sec! They registered in September!':eh: Oh, hehe, 2003, not 2002.:D

And I suppose you could say 'better late than never,' but the incurable Scaper in me says, 'Ooo! An early start on catching up on all the eps before the 5th season starts!';)

Look around, join in the fun and have a blast!

Farscape Forever, click on the above link. It'll take you to the page on amazon.ca that has the Farscape DVDs.

Welcome to FMD! :hi: Enjoy the ride and check out the Campaign Strategizing forum to find out how you can help to bring our show back (and we *will* bring it back, gosh darnit).

Welcome :bigwave: Farscape Forever, so glad that you have joined us here. I have found Farscape DVDs at places like WalMart, MediaPlay and other music/video stores like Tower Records and even Blockbuster. If they don't have it in stock ask them to order it for you.
You can also check out your local library and see if they have any copies and if they don't let us know as we are trying to get Farscape into as many libraries as we can.
Finally if all else fails you could put the season 1 or 2 box set at the top of your Christmas wish list.

Thanks for the greets and the suggestions everyone, I appreciate it :)

I would just order from amazon.ca but like I said I don't have a credit card :(

I've been to walmart, i've been to Future Shop.. i've been pretty much everywhere... the only place that will order items for you, doesn't even carry the dvd line. I can find every other dvd series except Farscape!!!!

Farscape Forever, don't live in Canada lol wish I could help more.

Try posting a thread like "Need help in Canada" or something with Canada in the thread title. That'll catch the attention of anyone who lives there, and maybe they can help ya out more;)

London Drugs. If they don't have it, I am sure they will order it in for you. I was in our local LD today and they had it.

Welcome Farscape Forever! Sorry you fell in love and had your heart broke at the same time. You have so many episodes yet to watch, so many surprises in store - I envy you in a way. It's a lovely adventure - stretch it out and enjoy it as long as you can.

Be careful not to read anything or let anyone spoil it for you. So much is delicious when it takes you by surprise.

Glad you joined and I hope you visit often and enjoy the company!

Thank you all for the warm greetings :) I've been trying to stretch it out but its getting harder and harder. It's like mission impossible I swear.. but you probably all know that having to had to wait much longer when it originally aired.

I've managed to steer clear of spoilers to this point too..

i'm not giving up hope.. I hope it'll return not just for my sake but for everyones :)

where in Canada are you? it might be easier to find a Scaper with a collection than a retail outlet.

Also, find out if Amazon will let you order by phone or mail. Some web companies do.

Here is a thought. Go to your local library and ask for Season One. At the very least they can do an intra Library loan for you!

When I recently went to Circuit City hoping they had the latest DVD on the rack (they didn't), because I currently don't have a credit card either. So this is what I did...purchased a giftcard for myself, went online and ordered it from the online shop using the giftcard and I'll have it in my eager little hands by the end of the week.

I imagine this same tactic could be used for any local store that sells videos, just make sure they have an "online store" and actually carry what you want.

Thanks for more suggestions and greets everyone :)

I tried for the online idea, but the one store that stocks some Farscape on their website (but never in store) doesn't accept gift cards. They won't let you order in store either. I'm going to try some of your other ideas though.. i'll let you know how it goes :)

I live in southwestern B.C. btw

I have order and bought from Amazon. com and I don't have a credit card either. You can place your order online then in I goes by check or money order (which is better). I mail in the payment with printout order form. They then send me the DVD.

Sorry to say I go to Best Buy now. :kitty:

have to say im in a similar boat as farscape forever is.
I picked up this show midway through season 3, missed the end of the season and the begining of season 4 due to moving and change of job.
watched through till end of season 4 and loved it, then to be told that was it!!!!! could'nt belive it, how could it be left this way?
that's when i found you guys on the net and some questions were answered.
have ordered season 1 and 2, can't wait to watch, want to make it last but will end up doing the lot in a few days !!!!
at least there's 3 and 4, and then i'll be up to date with you guys and just in time for season 5(oh please, the powers that be!!!)
