Meg Cabot's latest Princess Diaries book mentions a FArscape marathon being shown on tv, which is then mentioned in passing a couple of pages later. Doesn't sound like a lot but it's all spreading the word.

I just looked over her site to see if I could find some contact info but it wasan't there. Probably try through her publisher, or agent.

there must be some way to contact her or the publishers as a lot of kids have written in to say how good her books are. I'll have a look in the book, see if it's in there anywhere.

About four months back she happened to be at a Barnes &Noble in Skokie, Illinois (near Chicago). There were a bunch of thrilled kids there.

Okay, I'm thrilled but ......... PRINCESS DIARIES? What the frell? Aren't those books about a teenaged girl or two? I don't see the Farscape connection? I'm going to look for that book RIGHT away. Could you give us an exact page number and also explain in more detail how it was mentioned? Is there some nerdy, sci-fi fan character who was skipping out on the main character to watch the show, or something along those lines?
*imitates Durka* New, information, please. ;- )

Too cool--the more subtle Farscape references in pop culture, the better (see thread on CSI).

it really is just a passing reference, it says on one page that she could watch the Farscape marathon but she was far too depressed to get involved with other people's space adventures, then on the next page she talks about how people were discussing the Farscape marathon that was on the night before. so as I said, just a passing reference, but still a mention is a mention.
Mia is a teenage girl who finds out she is the princess of a small country, but she is seen as being a freak by the popular people at school, but she's into cult, such as star wars and charmed and stuff.
