This show has some smart writing. Funny too.
I its only problem is it leaves too many questions...I need to know more of the rules of being a Reaper.

Yeah, I've been watching it. It's entertaining and funny, but I don't have any reason to see an ep over again. You are right, there are a lot of questions, one I have is what happened to the (I think her name was Betty) reaper woman that was George's friend when she jumped in the light with that soul that was departing?? Delores Herbig drives me nuts. I want to choke her.

I like the show, although Delores Herbig is a problem....
It is one of about 4 shows I follow.

Showtime is really losing it's appeal to me....Not inventive anymore...Dead Like Me is cute...but that's about it..I've tried to get into it but I'm seriously thinking of getting rid of that premium channel...HBO just has the compitetion in the bag...they really are as good as it gets I'm afraid....Starz is good...Anybody see Fear.com?
I think DLM needs less reality...the critters are weird...kinda like those things when they got wet turned into lizard type partying dudes...they were little furry cute things..but couldnl't feed them after midnight...lost my memory of those little furballs.....Yikes:smokin:

I've only seen the first 3 eps so far and I think it's okay, it poses some very interesting and difficult issues about life and death. Not the kind of show I'd watch again and again, though... but neither was Farscape in the beginning and look at me now, lol.:D
My boyfriend likes it a whole lot more than I do, he's very close to being a fan. Maybe it strikes a different chord with him, donno.

I would hope her boyfriend doesn't watch it for the chicks...I know George is supposed to be 18, and the actress probably is, at least, 18, but she really, really, looks no older than 14.

[i]Anybody see Fear.com?
[/B]
I REALLY didn't like feardotcom. Part of it was that torture REALLY bothers me, and is something I have a hard time watching. It's the reason I've only watched "A Clockwork Nebari" once. (Although I can watch the "Liars Guns and Money" trilogy over and over again...strange). But I also felt that it really just relied on grossing out the audience more than anything genuinely earning our fear. It's the first movie I ever walked out of.

I just watched part of Fear.com....onyl found it surfing channels.of course it's really not my cup of tea either....I don't care for slasher films either...I was watching a really interesting documentory on Stanley Kubricks films...I'd forgotten how torturous Clockwork Orange was. If you get a chance to see a show called RAIN it is really great...If you like shows with a life lesson...It's about a girl comeing to age...it will just leave you with alot of things to ponder. Tonite of course is Nip/Tuck...so that will be great...

My BF could be watching it for the chicks... but that's only fair, he knows that Ben in leather is a big part of my Farscape addiction! :D
I TRIED HARD to watch A Clockwork Orange a few months ago but I couldn't stand the senseless violence. I can watch A Clockwork Nebari, the eye scene included, though.

Dead Like Me is low-budget TV that feels like low-budget TV. By skewing the camera angles just a bit and desaturating the color of the reapers, they could achieve a lot towards that end. One of the things I liked about Farscape is that the cameras seemed to be lower than of other television shows and that did so much for the unique look of the series.
As far as the story, DLM seems to forget its own mythology from time to time. And following George's former family seems, at least to me, non-essential. Since George is dead, she's not going to be able to go back and really be with these people again. At the end of this season, it looked pretty played out.
