Who Killed Farscape?

I know this is an old article, and I don't know if this was posted sometime earlier or not.

But I found what she said interesting, given what we have achieved so far (GO SCAPERS! Hell yeah!), and how committed everyone is, even now, over a year later.

She has the same puzzlement over FarScape's cancellation as many of us do, with an interesting assessment of the reason: internal politics, which she backs up with some apparently accurate information.

So. There it is. And I have to say, I really appreciated reading the wonderful things she says about FarScape.

Thanks for the reminder, Fiona. I remember reading this a year ago, but had forgotten all about it. She does indeed accurately and eloquently describe Farscape and its cancellation.

Thanks for that link. I've only recently started to join in this whole fandom thing and feel like I'm trying to fit 1000 peices of a jigsaw together. Everybody always posts things and I just have no idea what they are talking about so it's good to see some of the older stuff that was put out there when the show was cancelled. I feel a little bit more clued in each day. Sometimes it can be disheartening coming here because this is all so overwhelming but I just remeber my intense feelings for everything Farscape (which all but blindsided me) and know that if I just keep coming back here, things will all start to make sense...eventually...until then, Netflix is my new best friend. So this kind of stuff is mucho appreciated:aok:

p.s. I think everyone here is just wonderful, there's nary a negative word from anyone (not like that horrible chat room that we all visited this past Sept6th to commemorate black friday...my goodness!!)

WARNING!! ADULT CONTENT BELOW!! If you're under 18, move on.

despite managing to be the first series to show inter-species cunnilingus on prime time TV

Uhh... I give up. Which episode would that have been? I'm pretty sure that Crusade was the first to show interspecies intercourse. ;)

LATP, I assume. When John walks in on Chiana and D'Argo.

Chiana's on the bed, apparently ecstatic. When she stalks off after they've been interrupted, D'Argo's head pops up from under the duvet, his position indicating that his head would have been in the region of her ... uh, lap :D.

Maybe I just have a filthy mind, but that's certainly how I interpreted it.

LOL! Yes, that would be my interpretation. I haven't seen it in a while and remember it in the reverse for some reason. My guess is that Farscape pioneered both directions of, um, personal attention.
