Interesting ep dealing with friction between the Brits and the Yanks. It was a rather anti American ep, which didn't bother me since I don't agree with the current administration's dealings anyway. It was also somewhat critical of Tony Blaire, although not prominently.

I'm really caught up in this show. Its the only thing I'm watching regularly right now.

Yes I watched - it is one of the only shows I try to watch and it wins out on all the competition for me on Tuesdays at 10 pm in my cable area.

The show is interesting but has problems for me.( Farscape has ruined me for almost all tv and most movies by setting the bar way too high.) MI-5 does jump the shark for ratings a bit. The lead male character's stupid relationships are just well I said it - stupid. It makes it hard for me to take his character seriously and I don't think much of his pouty, posturing acting skills. The so called American blonde babe CIA agent has an annoying fake American accent-which is improving but is still not believable and she is also not a good actress. Why is she walking around in high heels when she is a CIA operative-worse than ALIAS !!And the sad affair of the female agent that was videotaped was also very blatantly for ratings - sorry wrong episode but you know the one I mean !!

Now that I have the negative finished I will say that the remaining cast are all wonderful and believable. Brit actors are good at their craft and show it here. The plots are edgy and often unpredictable and keep me focused. The violence and angst add depth to the stories. The violence seems real and is not stylized which I like in spy dramas. You have to pay attention mostly to figure out the twist and continuity is present-hurray ! and character development .:D

The episode last night was interesting with twists and turns and intrigue galore. Too bad I can't stand the CIA Blonde !! Love the political comment-not sure how realistic it is as am not from GB.

Boy this is long- sorry- but there is so little to watch on TV these days.......

All of the above IMHO of course. Off the soapbox now. Look forward to next week's show.
