Decided to check out Karen Sisco

So I'm sitting here watching the Cubs-Marlins game, and it's beginning to look like an extremely one-sided victory, so I thought I'd surf around a little. Then I thought, what the heck, let's check out that Karen Sisco show that every critic is raving about. Personally, I was extremely dubious that the suits in TeeVee Land would ever quite be able to catch that Elmore Leonard tone. So far, I'd say that although it's not quite as good "Maximum Bob" was, or "Keen Eddie" (two other shows that are similar to this one), it's okay.

But I also havta say that after Farscape, nothing looks especially good.

Yes I agree it might just catch the Elmore Leonard mood - but you reminded me of how much I loved Maximum Bob -too bad it didnt last. Maybe this one will.

I have to say that I do like this show. It's not my favorite thing on TV, but it's not bad. I'm depressed right now over the "hiatus" of Boomtown, so I'm looking for some new viewing. Like I don't watch enough TV as it is!

Hubby and I enjoy Karen Sisco...we LOVED last week's ep with the two totally whacked out guys that she was trying to protect from themselves. :lol

Those guys were hilarious! I've seen the smarter one on some other show, but I can't figure out what. I liked the fact that they had Danny Devito and his wife both in the ep as well.

I can't stand Sisco, I think it's a pure dud. Too bad, I like the actors.

I must now confess that I ended up unable to finish watching the episode. The ol' plot machine started creaking too loud for me to ignore. It seemed like everytime she was stumped, her dad would show up and give the answers she needed; that got a little too repetitious to me.

I couldn't finish watching the pilot or second episode. Why is this show so boring? Why?! ;)
