Best season

Well, since i only have seen 5 eps of season 4 I shouldn't judge, but from what I've seen in those I think that season 3 is the best season tightly followed by season 2.
It's just a personal opinion, but I just think the eps in those seasons were better and more original and had a more continous story to tell.

Maybe it's just me.... :)

Actually, for me Season 4 mirrors my feelings for Season 2 a lot. A slow beginning, with very few standout episodes and then at about half way through it just takes off and doesn't let up. Some of my favorite episodes are in Season 4.

I became really addicted at the last few eps of season 2, thru the first ones of season 3. At that time I still had not seen season 1. I immediately bought them. I just want Skiffy to show the rest of season 4. (Then I want season 5)!!!!

My favorite bar none is S2.

After that, they are all about even. If I had to pick, it would be:
4 then 3 than 1. But I love them all. And I must say that the excellence of second half of S4 has no rivals (to me) in all of FS. WSS is my favorite multiparter, and all the episodes of the second half are amazing.

My favorite season is definitly season three. There are just so many great episodes in this season, especially after John gets 'twinned', imo. The twinning is just one of the best on-going Farscape plots ever. Just a brillant on-going plot and it gave us a chance to see two different sides of John: the serious John (Tayln-John) and the wacky John (Moya-John) in a wide variety of cool situations!!

My definite favorite episode of the season is Revenaging Angel. I love RA. Its such a great episode. VERY wacky and hilarous. So, ya, I like wacky John alot, but I have to say that I also like serious John quiete a bit too. Ok, so John is definitly the coolest no matter serious or wacky (though, I think I'm prob like wacky John the best!)

There are a ton of other great episodes in this season too, like Thanks for Sharing, Meltdown (has one of the best, if not the best, teasers ever, imo), The Choice, Infinite Possibles Pt. 1 and 2 (especially 2), and others like Dog With Two Bones.

Though I do have to say that I like Season 4. Ya, it had some not so good episodes in it (like Coup Da Calm), but personally I liked Chrichton Kicks alot (my favorite season opener!) and there were other really cool episodes in the begining of the season like Promises. Though ya, the second half, starting with Unrealized Reality, is just amazing.

So Season 4 is prob #2, season 2 might be #3 (cause of episodes like Won't Get Fooled Again, Crackers Don't Matter, and the Way We Weren't), and first season last (but you know the first season is pretty great too)

Though for me, the only thing competly for sure on that list is that Season 3 is the best! Just an amazing season, imo!

Man, I need to dig up my season 3 tapes and re-watch them.

Hmm. In fact...I should just dig up all the Farscape tapes and re-watch them!!! :)

Season 3 without a doubt. Went straight to my heart and stayed there (Claudia's acting reigned supreme during this season). Season 4 just felt like it was "missing something". After that I think Season 2 and Season 4 are roughly on a par but Season 2 has to win because of the "Look at the princess trilogy", "The way we weren't", "Crackers Don't Matter" and "Won't get fooled again".

The whole "tormented space" thing in Season 4 was a total let down. (Admit it, you forgot about that bit :p ). It was good seeing John Crichton get back to Earth, but that felt like a bit of a last ditch save. It didn't compare to the wonderful colourful rich universe we were seeing previously. What did save Season 4 was the expanded Scarran coverage. The designs they came up with for the various Scarrans just oozed coolness.

Season 3 is great. Claudia did a great job (especially on the Choice and Infinite Possiblites Pt. 2), but for me, Ben Browder will always be the best character in season 3. In season 3, he just gave a tour de force. Ben showed us everything from comedy to drama and back again.

He's definitly my favorite character in the show and season 3 was his best year.

When " Crichton Kicks " aired, wow. I loved it (of course, just so you all know, the wacky Farscape episodes are my favorite. though I like the epic and suprising episodes quiete a bit too). Still love it. Its my favorite season premiere.

Then the rest of the episodes came and yes, there were some not so good ones, but they ALL felt like Farscape. Even the bad ones. Still Farscape.

One of the great things about Scape, really, is that the writers are always trying different things. They are always doing something off-the-wall. Sometimes it doesn't work (like some of season 2 and 4), and sometimes it does.

For me, season 4 is missing nothing (aside: sometimes you just gotta take the good with the bad. And if you don't want to ever see an episode again then you don't have to. Me: I definitly don't wanna see the episode with Rygel and Crichton in a dress again)

While I like Crackers Don't Matter and Won't Get Fooled Again quiete a bit....

I think season 4 wins out because of " Crichton Kicks ", " Unrealized Reality " all the way till Bad Timing. Those are just amazing episodes. Especially " Chrichton Kicks ", the whole earth trilogy and " Bad Timing " imo.

Well, ya, they could have done a lot more with "tormented space". They did get a bit distracted on that. Though, forgetting about that really doesn't ruin the season for me.

Totally disagree with that. Unrealized Reality is such a great episode! Its actually a pretty wacky episode too, but also with alot of really cool concepts. AND that cliffhanger. WOW.

As for the other Earth episodes, I like them alot. I think it was a great storyline. Definitly NOT a last ditch save, imo.

Disagree again. I think Unrealized Reality and the other earth episodes do compare. They stand right up there with the best of Scape. Especially " Unrealized Reality" and the episode with the news show (I forget the name at the moment).

Well, the Scarren episodes were good, but personally I liked " Unrealized Reality" and the earth storyline more.

For me, the best of season 4 is definitly from " Unrealized Reality " to " Bad Timing". With the earth storyline and the finale standing out the most.

Though, " Crichton Kicks " is a big personal favorite. Such a cool episode, imo.

Anyway, season 4, in my opinion, is a really good season. Ya, it has its not-so-good episodes, but you know what: so did season 2 (Taking the Stone and Virtus Mortas anyone?).

" even though my favorite has to be season 4 the only season that didn't have any not so great eps was season three the only season three ep that bordered (though not crossing) the line of a not so great ep was IYYY. The blue people, "why so difficult" really bugged the crap out of me... the rest of the ep was great though minus them LOL

I have to agree that season 3 was superb- especially DWTB and the scenes between Ben and Claudia. Just outstanding. I could, and do , watch them over and over again.

I think Season 1 and Season 3 are the epic seasons. Seasons 2 & 4 are more erratic. The last few episodes of Season 4 didn't make much sense either, elevetators that have drills on them, can withstand nuclear explosions and can somehow drill their way upwards even though the only have drills on their base?

My favourite season is Season 2. Followed by 3, 1, 4.

I loved Season 2 for the development of J/A, the cuteness of D'Argo and Chiana, and the general feeling that that season had. Not to mention the episodes LG&M, Out of their Minds, DMD and Crackers Don't Matter.

However, I feel the the style of season three, the acting (especially Claudia's outstanding performance in The Choice) and the general pain of the season make it the best.

Am I making sense yet? It's like I love reading happy J/A fic, which is probably my favourite type of fanfiction, but the heart-wrenching, angsty-as-hell, beautifully written character pieces? Those are probably the best.

But then that's still a matter of opinion and i'm starting to ramble, so I'm going to shut up. :P

I started watching from the start, but really got hooked in season 2 by the Crackers Don't Matter and The Way We Weren't episodes.

Having said that, yes, season 3 is my favourite. I really got the impression here that Farscape was going to turn into one large story. They added this towards the end of season 2, especially bringing back the Zenetans, Bakesh, Turok and Rorg and Rorf. But season 3 made it into one huge narrative.

After this I would have to say that season 4 initially disappointed. Compared to season 3, it lacked a lot of the darker and more rugged feel that I enjoyed. However, some of the later episodes made up for it, as soon as 4.11 came along.

So I would have to say that season 3 is the best, followed by season 4. Season 2 closely following, then season 1.
