I posted a couple of days ago about this story I read about a mini series to round of the farscape story.....have found out where I read it...I wasn't dreaming (but thought I might be going barmy!)
It's in the current edition of SFX magazine (in England), page 48.
I quote;

"Occassionally ridiculous, often slick, always entertaining, it was a cruel blow for fans when Farscape was canned. When the axe fell, poor Crichton was stuck between two rival empires with his nemesis in the ship's hold, and he'd just proposed to Aeryn before being turned into dust. Bummer. It looked like we'd never get to see whether the Scarrans or Sebaceans would inherit the galaxy. But we may now...Henson's are in the process of developing a spectacular mini-series to cap the show off. Sound financial sense, as they'll be able to market Farscape as a complete story. And cool for us 'scapers too! ETA:2005"
...role on 2005!!!

Thanks wendy crouch, good to know from whence it came.

Well, still not an "official" source, but it is yet another rumor in the mini-series direction.

And hey, only 5 posts? I think I'm not too late to welcome you to the party!

Cheers Buddha..call me Wend (haven't got the imagination to think of a cool name...too braindead from work overload). Nice to be welcomed into the gang.
OK, so it's not totally official, but hey, rumours and such like are what keeps me going after the only decent t.v programme in years has gone...

The more smoke, the more likelihood there's really a fire! Thanks for the post. You've brightened many Scapers' day, including me!

Wait... wasn't it SFX that also re-"reported" the whole "Comic-con announcement" rumor?

Yeah.. hoping a mini-series is totally false..

Well, I'd say this one sounds more official. I don't think it's the same old rumour.

I don't think a mini-series is in the works simply because of the cost. If you're going to get the sets back up and pay for all of the cast and crew, it just doesn't make sense. This was an expensive show to make and the cost per episode goes down the more episodes are filmed.

And I think a movie would be a silly idea too. Why spend nearly the same amount of money on a movie or mini-series when you could have an entire season?

If it's gonna come back, I think we'll get a season FIVE and more...

Sorry.

WHEN it comes back. Ain't no "ifs".

I think if we get a miniseries, (hopefully 4 or more hours) it will probably lead to the series coming back. That's the only way I can see the cost justified. We all hope for season 5. I really do think that SOMETHING is in the works, cause there are just too many rumors flying with coincidental points. A long (4-8 hour) miniseries could wrap the cliffhanger and other questions up, leading to the series coming back somewhere other than Skiffy?? I am trying to be optimistic. You should too.
