No, not really. I know of several small town non profit groups whose budgets became fortified by corporate sponsorships. Whats the difference in 5000 members each contibuting 1 dollar or 1 company contributing 5000 dollars?
A grass roots campaign suggest a small budget, and simple start but as awareness grows, and contributors grow, things start looking larger. The key is to hold on to the grass roots mentality.
