This is too hard of a questions. It's hard enough to pick a favorite moment in a particular episode. The defining moment for me of season one (the effects of which ripple out through the other seasons) is from A Bugs Life, when Aeryn is stabbed by Larraq and John screams "No." Everything hangs from that moment. John realizes his love for Aeryn. It owns him from here on out. John kills for the first time (not counting when the bug controlled John kills the peacekeeper chick in this episode), which changes John as well. Hang on tight from here on out, the rollercoaster is at the top of the hill . . .

There are a couple for me. When John is crying after the Arora chair and Stark comforts him. I think that Scorpy must have just put the chip in at that point. I also love Aeryns speech to Crais when she leaves him in the chair. But I think my favorite is when John is starting to show the strain of every thing that had been done to him and is sitting and talking with Crais who's locked up on Moya. The emotion he can project is just amazing.

The scen from The Flax is the Season 1 shipper moment for me. Even more so than A Human Reaction, because it's first I suppose. A genuine moment, like "we know it's going to happen eventually and we're about to die so let's just pretend that this is eventually".

Mine would have to be "Through the Looking Glass." It has one of those rare Farscape moments: the happy ending. A genuine, 'everything's ok now so let's laugh and clink our wine glasses together' ending. They're all happy, all on the same wavelength because they've realized they CAN work together and get out of what should have been a doomed, confused mess. I also like the episode because of the concept of Moya being caught between starburst (how come I think of the candy every time I hear that?) and severing into other dimensions fascinating.

The moment that really hooked me was the Crais/Aeryn Aurora Chair moment. I hadn't seen much of Farscape up to that point, and the strength of that scene made me want to start watching the show on a regular basis. (Of course, I didn't get around to it for another year, but that's a whole other story....)

But just for sheer, raving joy, I'd have to tag as my favorite moment was the tail end of "The Flax," with Crichton standing right behind D'Argo, gently taunting: "You know, in a universe this vast, when two hearts collide...." "SHUT UP!!!"

(The added footage on the DVD, with Stanz imploring "I love you!!!" as D'Argo walks away, actually had me weeping with laughter.)

That Is mine as well suprizingly.
and all the scenes in yellow trippy moya are good. i like the "Join in the fun," "give me seven seconds and we'll come and go together," "should i disrobe so it's memroble" scene between chiana John and Rygel.
And the scene between John, Aeryn and Gellena in PKTG where Aeryn catches them kissing. "SORRY FOR INTERUPTING"

Funny, I can see that whole scene in my mind's eye or eyes, anyway until you stated it BlackThorn I wouldn't have been able to remember it. Like someone mentioned on this thread there are far to many favorite 'moments' in an episode alone to choose from let alone a whole season.

I know why she did it - something to do with paying back the kindness of John Crichton. I can't really remember, but was it when John saved her life and wanted to repay him back but he wouldn't take advantage of situation which was brilliant really. Anyway, the only thing that I found surprising with that scene was that it looked like a hell of a lot food preparation. :rollin: But, yes that was truely an amazing moment.

What's even more funny is that John wasn't even there. Wasn't he in the maintenence bay during the feast? And what's his favorite dish in the UTs? So really, it was to repay John but she didn't cook John's favorite dish, nor did she invite him... but she did invite Crais and did prepare his favorite dish.

But that's prolly over-analysis, I do agree with you both that that scene was an impressive one.

Well I'm going to go all the way back to Premiere, to the scene where he's on the commerce planet and realises that he's "on another planet!" The look of wonder on his face was priceless - I think it was one of the things which hooked me on the program.

Yes, that would be my favorite moment too. Every Ouroboros said, plus the fact that we didn't know whether or not John and D'Argo would die, plus the fact that we see John's dad's ring getting lost, plus the fact that it's just beautiful shot, with them in space, and the burning moon below them...

I think I have to watch Family Ties again.

I loved the line between John and D'argo in Family Ties:

John: D'Argo, why am I not afraid"

D'Argo: Fear accompanies the possibility of death. Calm shepherds its certainty.

And then John's smile is priceless. D'Argo always gives those good pestimistic lines.

There are so many great moments. I liked the moment in DNAMS where Aeryn actually admitted to Crichton how scared she was. And D'Argo's expression when he walks in on Aeryn and Crichton in The Flax. And later when he finds out that Stanz is a female and in love with him to boot. And I think that the AHR kiss is my favorite Aeryn/Crichton kiss. And most of Through the Looking Glass. And Crichton and Stark deciding to give the PKs a going away present in The Hidden Memory.

But my favorite is the pod ride and spacewalk in the finale. Just the lightness of such a dire moment ("I've gotta pee."), it is a great scene to watch. The explosion is very nice. And I've always liked the fact that D'Argo kisses the necklace just before they go out.

Wasn't he in the maintenence bay during the feast?Yes, he was....and THAT "Family Ties" moment was one of my favorite scenes--John's soliloquy--when he records the good-bye "message in a bottle" to his Dad. Pure poetry. OK, sentimental, but it made me cry.

I've found that I'm becoming a big Aeryn fan, too. Yeah, not only did she leave him in the Aurora chair, she turned up the juice. LOL. What really impressed me was her determination in rescuing Crichton to the point that she was going down to the Gammat Base with or without any help from the others.

My favourite moment is when Aeryn and John are interupted by D'argo and the pirate when they are about to have sex.
Aeryn is trying to take off the rubber tube that the helmit is fixed on to, and it gets jamed.

And D'argo is propersitioned by the pirate.Classic

Man, favorite moments, I'll try to remember them all:

There is a moment, very earily on, in the episode where everyone finds out that Moya's preggers (sorry I can't remember the title, I've loaned out Season 1 and haven't seen it in forever *bad scaper, chastises self*). Anyway, there's this teeny tiny moment, a look really, that passes between John and Aeryn while John is helping to wipe the goop off of Areyn's hand. I just love that moment.

The vulnerable moments when Aeryn confesses to her fear and her lonliness in DNAMS.

I love every moment when the stress gets to John: when he leaves cleanup duty on the ship before Moya strands him in Starburst, when he breaks down with Stark but certainly when he gives the big Frell You to the Peacekeepers in FT!

So far, my favorite moment is at the end of "DNA Mad Scientist" with D'Argo's unspoken apology to Pilot. Seeing Pilot's face lighting up in a smile as D'Argo begins playing his Shilquin.

And the part in "Secret" where John speaks to Moya through the DRD. It gives us a glimpse at Moya's...Leviathanity(?)

I also love every moment that has Pilot and Aeryn working together.

I loved "The Flax". I'm a shipper for the most part, and this ep really got things going for me.

I also loved the "woody" scene from TGIF...A. And in I, ET when the alien woman licked her lips after John kissed her. That was pretty sexy.

In "A Human Reaction" just as John is climbing into Farscape One, he looks at Aeryn one last time. Aeryn gives him a quick watery-eyed nod as if to say "you go now" and she can't say it out loud or she would burst out crying.

That is my favourite moment from Season One. One of them anyway. :D

My favorite moment and unforgettable moment is when I flipped the channel and watched Farscape for the first time. It was on very, very late on SciFi and from that first viewing, I was totally hooked. I think the entire season 1 is my favorite because as the series progressed I saddened because I found out it was in syndication at the time and realized it might not be on the air one day...

Well, I thought I had an answer... but reading through all your answers you guys have reminded me of so many other fantastic scenes and moments. I can't decide any more. I'll tell you what I love about season one though that I really miss, and that is John's lightheartedness. I REALLY miss that. He's been through way too much to be that way anymore I guess, but if one day the powers that be decide to do a Farscape feature film, I would love to see Chriton's playfulness and silliness come back a little. Playing with his kids maybe, a happier person.

Definitely season 1, probably the entire series.... John sits across from Crais's cell on Moya, gripping his pulse pistol tight enough to snap it in two. All the adversity, insanity and loss John has had to deal with welling up inside. Homesickness, the desperate need for contact with another human being, just to shoot the shit about mundane guy stuff, simple but impossible out here. And even after Crais's lame attempt at an apology ,John puts his new family first and asks his nemesis for help.

My favourite moment in season one is in "The Nerve" when Aeryn says she's gonna die because there's no nowhere to find a genetically compatible donor. John reaches up and caresses her cheek and tells her he will go to the Gammak Base and find one.
She doesn't answer, she only looks at him but you can see she's stunned that he wants to risk his life to save hers. Beautifull moment.

I would of said the same thing. But also the Nerve episode. Stemming back from when John puts on his English accent ( pretending to be a Peacekeeper ) in the other episode called " Durka returns " . He acts like he knows so much. And then it is continued on the Nerve episode, until John got discovered and caught. Then put in the Aurora chair . That looked so painful for him. So I am glad that later they put Crais in the chair. Thus leading us to the reason that I would like what you said about . But I am more of a John Crichton fan.

The moment in The Hidden Memory when Scorpius decides to put Crais in the Aurora chair because that one moment gives John a chance of escape, triggers a new direction for Crais himself and gives Scorpius lots of delicious oozing to do.

Also the first time we meet Scorpy and Braca (since they are my favourite characters)

The Hidden Memory: Stark watching over John. As someone once wrote, I can never understand why Stark and John were never closer. I think they would have made a great slashy pairing. A Bug's Life: The infamous "Titanic" scene with Chiana and Rygel. :D Solid gold! Back And Back And Back To The Future: Zhaan and Aeryn discussing Crichton. Z: "He is Crichton." PK Tech Girl: Aeryn with a huge piece of machinery over her head. "Sorry for interrupting!"
