Do you still have hope?

I've seen a few posts that make me think so people have 'given up', I thought I'd post a poll, so we can see where everyone stands...

Yes, definitely. It may take time, but if we stay together, don't give up hope and make sure Henson, the studios etc know we are here, I think we will get Farscape in some form. If that in turn does well, maybe more. On the other hand, there are a lot of Farscape people at this convenion in Burbank this month and maybe there will be an announcement. I can hope. And I do!

I have hope. Admittedly I'm not one of the ones who participates on the projects, but having seen what those who do have accomplished so far, I have very little doubt as to whether Farscape will return in some form or not.

Yeah, don't pin all your hopes on Burbank. Just knowing that someday the show will come back is good enough for me. And it will. Cause tons of people are dedicated to bringing it back.

My advice for whoever voted for less than "Yes, lots of it" is: whenever you feel the dark demon of hopelessness crawling up, visit this board and read some of the very inspiring comments posted, read the critics' quotes, see your favorite episode again, try to visualize the joy of victory! It works!

Even though we have tons of hope that FS will be back, we need to remember that our work is far from over! We can't rest on our laurels and wait for the payoff to come to us. We have to continue to take the battle to the streets, so to speak. We have to continue to write letters and do other things to show TPTB that the interest in FS remains strong. And most importantly, we have to continue to grow the audience and get *them* to let TPTB know their interest is there as well.

Now, who's gonna convert a new Scaper today, hmmmm? :D

Personally I feel better than I ever have. With the new enthusiasm for joining Save Farscape, the projects for distributing Farscape episodes, the willingness of fellows scapers to part with their hard earned money, and all of the other worthy endeavors scapers participate in to get our show back.

And as long as Henson is enthused I am!

I believe there could be an announcement at the Burbank Con. because of the many castmembers attending.

I guess I have had hope, and will continue to have hope because; the story is not over and I don't think a show of its quality can be stopped. That simple.

I'd second that, but I just want to add...

A couple months ago, before I joined this board, I did not believe Farscape was coming back. The only reason I joined the board is...I really, really WANTED it to come back. Which was less then hope...it was...wishful thinking. But once I joined the board...I had heard of Save Farscape before...but I had no idea how extensive the efforts were. I had no idea how many people were fighting for this show. I had no idea that there were people willing to send a postcard a day...that's just awesome. I had no idea that the cast, crew, and creators of Farscape were also working on it's return. I had no idea how BIG the Save Farscape really was. And yes, our work might be far from done. But you all made me confident that Farscape will return. And me...i'm a pretty pessamistic person. So that's kind of a big deal.

Ditto! What gives me hope is this amazing, dedicated community that refuses to give up and that continues to work on bringing the show back. I have hope. but to be completely honest, hope and expectation are different. So 110% for hope, 50% for expectation (what can I say--I am pestimistic). Farscape deserves to come back to one form or another, and the people behind the show are doing their best, along with this magnificient board. So, I have hope.

And it's the simplest things that keep my hope alive. A snippet of song from my favorite Farscape vid. Or seeing six new pages of posts every day. Mailing off a postcard every day and imagining how many hands it has to go through and knowing at least one will read about Farscape. Once it was a guy. He looked like DK, but with the bluest eyes. I smiled at him (i thought it was a big goofy grin) but he turned around and followed me to the produce section. We had a lovely chat over the peppers.:rollin:

So, my hope consists of knowing all of you are here, of postcards and music, and DK look-alikes with Ben Browder eyes. And I KNOW Farscape is coming back.

I was down when the final episodes of Season 4 were shown. I was afraid that economics would rule, but now I have hope again. I have confidence the Hensons and everyone who loves this show as much as we do will ensure that Farscape will return. I am totally amazed at what we have all accomplished so far.

And after watching midway through season 4,I think it should stay that way! The actors look like there just going through the motions, the storyline just dosen't go anywhere! Going by what i've seen it didn't deserve a fith season , But saying that Farscape is still so much superior to Stargate or That god Awful Star trek"I fell like I've taken a packet of valium when ever have the missfortune of watching StarTrek"....

It looks like what gives is that NieMMY hasn't watched 411-422, which not only go somewhere with a vengence, but are creatively the best of the 88. So said DK, and I have yet to hear anyone disagree! I certainly think they're the best. A number of people felt similarly about the first half of S4, though we now know that Skiffy's tampering was more to blame for that than anything wrought by the Farscape team.

Of course none of which goes to answering the question of being here if you still hold that opinion.

Well as optimistic as I am, I have to guard my self. I am very confident about FS's return but I must have a reality check about it just in case it doesn't happen,
however having said that, don't be surprised if we hear nothing from Burbank.
I can't help but think how the creative forces behind FS love to leave us in suspense.
I'll give up hope when I hear that they are done and given up them selves,
but if we hear what basically adds up to nothing, I'll know something is up.
there is a sick twisted pleasure that comes from teasing the Hell out of people.

Hearing nothing from Burbank wouldn't affect my tremendous hope level at all.

It just means either
a) They haven't found the best way to bring Farscape back YET
or
b) They have, but they're not YET at a stage where it would be a good idea to release it.

But I still know...if we don't hear something from Burbank...maybe we'll hear something next month. Or next year. Doesn't matter. It'll still be back.

Well the last episode that I watched of Farscape was Was Attack of the pumkin heads "honey I shrunk the cast!" I didn't find it up to there useal standads! But hey If the rest of the season is better than than the first half "I would gladly eat my words!" And as far as not wanting Farscape back thats rubbish, I would love to see it return, I would still very much love to work on the CGI for that show. And plus Australia really needs farscape since it employed around 500 ppl not to mention the ppl that produce the toys the magazines ect... So yer I would love to see it back! But in reality I'm sure it won't be. Even if they could get the money it would take at least nine months to get it back in production...

But the one thing I have noticed soon after the death of Farscape.When Farscape did collapse a lot of other local film production when down the tubes soon after. So I don't know if there was any corellation or what! But I wish the show would come back.

In reality it WILL be. I am sure of that. Though it may take a couple hundred more letters and postcards. ;) And what's nine months? We've waited this long. Another year or five won't kill us, and we'll have a definite goal to work toward.

Done and done. All my friends already know I love the show. I think they would watch it, if scifi ever showed it regularly.

Right now the only DVD I have is season 2.5. Liars Guns & Money might be action-packed enough to show to new viewers(if I'm there to explain some of the backstory), but I don't think anyone is prepared to watch a whole trilogy of episodes. But if we ever get hard, official news about the show coming back, I will make a point to go buy more DVDs and convert as many friends as possible.

I've been visiting this site since the summer. It's taken me a long time to get the courage to even register to comment. I've never seen a group of more dedicated people. The sincerity & consideration in the posts & information in the news section is inspiring and informative.

With that aside, Henson buying back the production, combined with the earnest efforts of this group, does bode very well for the series. If the Farscape producers/writers can get the crew out of their various predicaments as creatively as they do in the series, I think the same perservance & creativity will see the actual return of the series in some format.

There is a lot to be said for persistence. Enough banging of the drum & people will pay attention!! :)

This morning, before going to work, I've reread an email I sent to Claudia [due to all the things that have been happening/said/hinted the last couple of days I wanted to read that email again to see what I said about a year ago] «» the keyword I used was hope; my subject line was: To Claudia Black, HOPE. First off I was hoping that my email would get to it's destination [sent via/to Henson] and I of course said that we must never loose hope mentioning the line Aeryn said to John "You brought a new word to this vessel...hope". One of the last sentences in my email was that if this email would be read by the lovely Claudia then what I was hoping for came true. If Claudia read my email I don't know, but I am [still] hoping :D
