Are they out yet and if they're not, when are they coming out? The last one I purchased was Season 3.5 and none of the video stores I've been to have it (when they're not sold out of them of course).

I'm sorry if this question was asked before. As you can tell, I'm still testing the waters around here. :)

4.1 shows up on December 2nd. ADV has been averaging six weeks between releases.

Raina, I have already pre-ordered my 4.1 from deepdiscountdvd.com (Region 1, good prices--$23.99 for 4.1--and they don't charge for shipping). My 3.5 pre-order from them arrived in the mail about 3 days before the actual "official" release date, so I'm expecting to get my 4.1 around Nov. 28!

I can't wait. I only got into Farscape a year after the show was canceled and have been watching it in order on DVD. I haven't yet seen season 4 so everyone hush! ;) Thanks for the details. At least I know what to expect.

I haven't yet seen season 4 Oh, lucky you! How I wish I were a "virgin" again.

However, it's just as good the second, third, fourth......times just different. ;)

Oh I'm not that much of a Farscape "virgin." I know about a lot of major plot points including how it ends. But there's a lot I haven't seen and part of the fun of Farscape is it's always better to see it than to simply just know it.

Somebody get ADV on the phone! When are they going to put Farscape Undressed in the extras!!! The Brits got it in theirs on 3.1!

It's not fair! It's not fair! It's not fair!!

Farscape Undressed?! What the frell are you talking about? Please tell. ;)

OOOh, it was a special that aired on SciFi (and BBC) just before season 3 began. It was intended as an introduction to Farscape for people just coming in, but for the fans, it was another opportunity to feast your eyes on Ben and Claudia. (Well, I'm speaking for myself here....)

But of course, hehe. ;) I take every chance of seeing Ben Browder whenever I can get it.

There might be licensing issues in getting Farscape Undressed too. The company that did the region 2 Farscape DVDs is different than ADV. Still, I would love to see Farscape Undressed. Another little extra I would like is the "So far on Farscape,,," intro they did on one of the late season four episodes with a quick montage of scenes from nearly every episode of Farscape from the beginning. I think it may have been before the last episode, but I don't remmeber exactly. Any one else know what I'm talking about and which episode had it?

BTW, here is a link to another thread about the season four DVD with a transcript of ADV's rlease blurb on what is contained in the Farscape 4.1 DVD.

"So far on Farscape..." was the intro to Bad Timing.

Thanks, I thought it might have been the last episode (so far!!!). I really hope it makes it onto the DVD.

---Its funny cuz they did the same thing (showing clips from the entire run of the series) right before the Season Finale of Season 5 of Buffy the Vampire Slayer.

And the WB billed that as the SERIES FINALE as well (since it was the last episode before its move to UPN).

As for seeing Farscape Undressed, I think its a bit unlikely that we'll be seeing it on the ADV sets. Since its obstenibly an intro to the series for people who hadn't seen S1 or S2 the place for it would have been DVD set 3.1, or possibly any season 3 set. It doesn't quite make sense to include an S1/S2 summary on a Season 4 DVD.

However, does anyone know what the "Farscape: The Story So Far" featurette is? If this is new, I wonder if it might not incorporate an altered version of FS:Undressed that now includes a Season 3 summary so it works on a Season 4 set.

I love the fact that they're including S2 bloopers. Are there any other non-R1 features that you're hoping might make a late appearance on the forthcoming S4 DVDs? (Excepting, of course, the previously discussed FS:Undressed and episode commentaries.)

Did they update the "Undressed" special the second time they aired it?

I personally found it a bit cheezy how they alternated in and out of character.

But I'm all for more of ANYTHING on the DVD's

It's a wonder they hadn't added a bloopers reel up to this point in the past. With all the improv that went on, surely there have been some bits that were too crazy or obvious floating around. Sometimes actors deliberately screw up a take - if only slightly. I bet Ben did that on more than one occasion, hehe.

Actors will screw up a take deliberately to insure that the take can't be used.

"Farscape: The Story So Far" is a featurette summing up Season 1, 2 & 3, a great introduction into Season 4. It is on 4.1 DVD in Europe.

We have to be getting some commentaries in R1 more or different than R2 cause they were still recording commetaries AFTER all the R2's had been released. I remember Anth reporting he was doing a commentary for the DVD at a con right when S4.5 was coming out in UK. I remember being surprised they just did the commentary whereever they were at the moment?
