Computer desk + paper + pen + waiting for con reports = time to write those letters!!

First off, Brian and Lisa Henson were just named co-CEOs for The Jim Henson Company! This is fantastic news, and now's the time to drop them a line with a big, frelling congratulations! Do not let this awesome news get lost in the shuffle! This REALLY deserves special mention.

Now there is (obviously) a lot of Farscape news swirling around, and nothing too concrete, yet. But. Hallmark has helped finance Farscape from the very beginning. With that kind of history, it may be likely that they could be helping to finance Farscape once again. The Henson Company knows we’re here, but does Hallmark remember? A little gentle nudging and a reminder of the masses behind Farscape is in order. ;)

And finally, since we’re all permanently glued to our computers <g>, stop off at the DOM and give a shout out. Antrobus and Atlantagirl have started a clean-up and troll-ousting to help out the regulars like cybergal, at the DOM. It is high time our Farscape bboard is taken back from the trolls. Not just tonight, but for good.

And remember, don’t feed the trolls.

:signtroll

Best of luck, and here’s to happy con reports!

Okay, I have a question...why the Hallmark Channel? I'm sure it's a good channel, but I think I must have missed the part as to why we're writing to them as opposed to Showtime, SciFi, etc. LOL So if anyone could give me an answer on that one, I'd appreciate it.

On a personal note...I hope Farscape doesn't move to that channel, because we don't get it here. :( However, I'll do my scaper duty and send out a letter or two!!! :bounce: :bounce: :bounce: We're getting our show back! "It's just a matter of time!"

Um yeah... On second thought, probably shouldn't have included that... That's what I get for last minute postings.

But then again... It couldn't hurt, could it?:ewink:

Crap. I know nothing. The address was just with all the other Hallmark addresses I have.

Repeat after me: I know nothing.

Just don't want this to get blown out of proportion.

Hmmmm.... maybe it was just wishful thinking on my part. I'll admit that while I would watch any new Farscape on the SCI FI Channel, I wouldn't look forward to it, you know?

And as to writing Hallmark instead of Showtime, etc. Hallmark isn't targeted nearly as often as the other companies.

To remove troll postings from the Dom, it's much more effective to email the Dom at bboard @www.scifi.com and tech@www.scifi.com and complain, specifically what is wrong, who is doing it, and why posts should be removed. Then wait for Monday, when they get in and check their email.

Chryse is correct. I have found that including the url for the offensive posts in my email complaints to be MOST effective. There are several operational bboards on the DOM, and the troll likes to torment them all. The urls make it VERY easy for the bboard system administrators to find and so delete the offensive material.
