as i was in macdonalds today i noticed that for children in need (which is a yearly charity event we have here in the uk) macdonalds were selling muppet badges (well actually they were more like little suckers to put on windows - no idea what they are called) for £1 that then went to children in need.
so i dont know if we could work this to our advantage or anything, or how involved the jim henson company is with it.
any ideas, views, comments?

What kind of muppets were they? Like Sesame Street muppets? Or are we talking Miss Piggy and Animal and Kermit the Frog?

we're talking kermit muppets.
just reading the card insert now and it says there are 4 to collect; kermit, miss piggy, animal, and fozzie bear, and if you send the insert card off with a donation you can get gonzo

The whole children in need show is on next Friday. I'm thinking of ringing in and getting them to say Frell and Farscape in a sentence & pledging a whole load of money if they do (they'll do anything after 9pm if it gets people to donate!).

I think that's COOL! Maybe other Brit 'Scapers could also buy some, or donate towards the stunt.

this might be too late notice but children in need is filmed in front of an audience and they normally have crowds outside right?
what if us brit scapers did something along the lines of jay leno? invade the bbc (who are very much on our side anyway) with a donation from savefarscape.com?
i really dont know the details on whether tickets are needed or anything, and i know it isn't long til children in need, like a week or something? but maybe we could do something, even if it is just buying out maccy d's of the sticker badge things

Maybe with could pledge an amount per scape swear words they get into a sentence in a set amount of time.
If we could get them to anounce that if they could raise say £10 per word and that other scapers need to phone in to reach the target then if there are other scapers watching it may be a good demonstration of support.:kitty:
