Help me out here. Think of some funny captions and/or descriptions.:D Why would anyone make a bunny look like this? Why? Why? Why? :roflmao:

Because you can comb them and knit socks out of their fur.

Johnsgirl727
11-28-2003, 08:12 PM
Yes, but shave them and be done with it. Why fluff them up and put them in a bunny show? They look so silly!

Hey, either way, I'm no rat... better to be a dead lion than live rat... because at least the lion WAS a lion!

I will deny knowledge of any misdemeanors revealed on this board, even if they pull my fingernails out... or worse yet, even if they deny me my razor to shave my head!

ack! ack! ack! what kind of furry atrocity is this?! this is hilarious stuff. they're cute but dude...too fluffy.

what happens when they walk? doesn't that just provoke some funny mental imagery? or when they hop...is it like the zoloft guy hopping? one big white ball hopping along the ground?

after the pagent I hope they cut that hair. Can you imagine that rabbit in a cage with that mane. It would be all dirty and start to dred. Not to mention the dingleberrys it'd have to deal with. It'd be some nappy fur.

Maybe if you shaved all that fur, it'd be like that Bugs Bunny cartoon where somebody goes after that big, hairy red monster with clippers.... after the hair was gone, there was nothing left but sneakers. With these bunnies, maybe there'd be nothing left but the nose.

Hi I just thought I would shout out here.
I just wanted to let every one know a little bit about the bunnies.
I have raised Angoras before so I can attest to what they are like. Yes those are show rabbits but even ones that don't go to show are like that if taken care of properly. They are raised for their fiber like sheep. Thats where angora sweaters come from. They move around just fine. The fiber is so fluffy and fine that it doesn't hamper their movement. They don’t generally get dirty and they tend to poop just fine. You do have to brush them to keep the fiber from tangling and getting mats. They would then have problems with dirt and poop. They grow a full fleece like in the pictures four times a year. You know when it is time to get the fiber when you start to see some of it collecting in the pen. There are two ways to harvest it. You can wait until it starts to shed naturally and then you comb it out in big handfuls, or just before it sheds you can shave it off. Angoras are a lot of work to keep because of the brushing, and the ones in the pictures are the hardest of the different breeds of angoras because their fiber is the finest and mats easiest. I hope this “sheds” a little light on these bunnies.

Cleric: And the Lord spake, saying, "First shalt thou take out the Holy Pin. Then shalt thou count to three, no more, no less. Three shall be the number thou shalt count, and the number of the counting shall be three. Four shalt thou not count, neither count thou two, excepting that thou then proceed to three. Five is right out. Once the number three, being the third number, be reached, then lobbest thou thy Holy Hand Grenade of Antioch towards thy foe, who, being naughty in my sight, shall snuff it.

:fear:Bunnies aren't just cute like everybody supposes.
They got them hoppy legs and twitchy little noses
And what's with all the carrots?
What do they need such good eyesight for anyway?
Bunnies!

It must be bunnies!

They remind me of the book I had to read in 2nd grade..."Bunicula" (not sure about the spelling.). I believe it was about vampire rabbits, although, the title could be used for some sort of *adult* movie....

That's what I love about this place, even a thread that starts out with really strange pictures ends up being educational somewhere along the way. Thanks Gelfling for the info. (I can't help it, I'm a nerd, I like to find out about everything. My Dad used to read the encyclopedia during dinner if some question came up.)

Actually, you know what it reminds me of? Those dogs and cats that have been bred to have no hair at all. It is a perversion of the genetic code in the same way. Anti-survival.

Those bunnies can't see, can't hear, can't run. *wierd*

This was just told to me.

A bear and a rabbit and taking a dump in the woods, the bear turns to the rabbit and asks "Do you have problems with crap sticking to your fur?"
"No" replies the rabbit.
So the bear wiped his a$$ with the rabbit.
