This is a repost of the SFX Magazine article, "Farscape Unplugged", that appeared in the April 2003 issue of SFX Magazine (UK). I'm reposting it here because the other post is sitting in a Grayza discussion thread (http://www.watchfarscape.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=17928&perpage=15&pagenumber=1), and would be easy to overlook - but since this article recounted many of the production problems of Season 4, it seemed important to post the article in its own thread. (Sorry, no pictures...)

Thanks vhsiv -when I first read this article in April it really focused me on continuing to help in the campaign in my own small way. The interference and lack of support from the network was summarized well here. The description of the plans for the upcoming season 5 (and even 6) broke my heart - so I got even more stubborn and angry.
Thanks and it is easier to read this article now.

Thanks for reposting. This is the article that made it abundantly clear that the creative faults in the first half of the season were due to Skiffy tampering. It also explained those idiotic promos pairing it with SG-1. And bottom line, it made it impossible to forgive Skiffy or keep trying to say "we'll never know" and spread the blame around.
At least I can read it this time without crying the whole way through. It still angers me and the end is still just as heart-wrending. They were indeed at their creative peak and to have it crushed so unceremoniously by a bunch of suits that just don't get it..... There still are no words to describe how livid that makes me.

thank you so much vhsiv. I have never seen this article before. reading actually brought tears to my eyes, silly I know but I could'nt help it. How dare they ask thenm to make it more like stargate it like asking pivasso to paint more like a highschool art teacher!
I understand the reasons behind season 4 now and that assuages my fears about the Mini. I know now that its going to be great, because theyre not doing for any reason other than to fulfill their own artistic vision and to repay the loyalty of their core fans by giving them the ending they so justly deserve.
thanks again :) .

Well i'm glad DK had plans for Jool and I hope he is using him now. Boy a season 6 i didn't know they planned that far in advance. Farscape wish list:
1. The mini gets incredible ratings and press. New people are interested in it and DVD sales skyrocket.
2. A new network signs a contract for a season. It's succesful and they sign them up for another season.
3. Soon we get a movie and Farscape is a worldwide phenomen (sry about the spelling)
I know it's far fetched but wouldn't it be nice.
