Mark all options that apply to you. Yes, I've probably forgotten some.
Feel free to vote for those you'd prefer to see more of too (ie. there's not a lot of Epic Fantasy television shows, but you'd watch them if there were.)

oh crap, I can't do this poll. It would be easier to click what I don't like, as much.

:D The one thing I don't like is anything that is a slasher movie.

aww i love slasher flicks. i love anything horror.
it might be better if you gave examples of your options, like movies that apply to that certain category or shows. it'd help a lot in determining what fits and what doesn't.

Slasher/Gore films are great. The whole B Horror genre is great. Low budget gore, nothing like it. Bava, herschell gordon lewis, Lucio Fulci, Argento, Amando de Ossorio speaking of which, a must see is Tombs of the Blind Dead and of course Return of the Blind Dead, also The Cursed Galleon, and Night of the Seagulls.
You can watch anything from any of the foremention directors if you like this type of film, they are all great. There are many others as well. Romano of course, Alejandro Amenabar, David Cronenberg, Guillero Del Toro (no relation to Benicio, I don't think), Sam Raimi, Stuart Gordon, and others I just can't think of right now.

Okay, I clicked on everything in all areas except for hardcore and softcore sci fi. I hope that didn't screw up your poll too much. I don't like it when things are too technical, but on the other hand, I don't like it when things are too science lite.
Can someone explain to me the difference between speculative fiction, and science fiction? Is there one?
Anything with Bruce Campbell is good :D

Speculative Fiction is often used to encompass anything beyond the norm (sci-fi, fantasy, horror . . . anything that goes beyond the realms of here and now) because most of it is . . . speculation, so to speak. The options available within speculative fiction are too many to list in this little poll. Infinite possibilities. I just tried to include most of the better known ones.

The closest I can come to that, grinner, would be "Tales from the Crypt". I don't think even that qualifies, though.

That's not really Sci-fi or horror.

Scare Tactics. Shannon Doherty would probably get along well with Freddy and Jason. j/k
Other shows (like Tales from the Crypt, as Buddha mentioned) have had episodes that were of the slasher type, but I don't think there has ever been a straight slasher based show. There was one called "Friday the 13th" but it had nothing to do with the movies and wasn't a slasher show.
Edited to add: For the purposes of this poll, I would group cable and network together.

I like some stuff if it's really good. With supernatural twist's. Jason and that type of show I just can't stomach...If I watch that stuff it reminds me to much of the pain and torture I've seen real people go through..(like in truama, emergency room and burn units...it's probably the hocky mask):rollin:

Alright, how about "The Others"?
AgentSun

psychological thriller/paranormal...no horror really. i think something like house on haunted hill as horror while also being a paranormal ghost movie. but the others wasn't supposed to have the sole purpose of scaring.

Couldn't make up my mind so I just clicked on a few. I dislike slasher flicks, but for some reason that doesn't keep me from sitting in front of the TV watching people get hacked to death, then later ranting about the plot holes.
