People really fall for this stuff?

everyday. Unfortunately.

I think that the Nation of Nigeria and other African countries teach their people to scam... as it seems to be the national pastime over there.

It would have given it away to me just to see the way the phrases are and the spelling. But the site is funny stuff. I just feel sorry for those who fall for this. Like a little old lady who is so generous and loses everything to people like this. Sad.

The ones I keep getting are the ones trying to designate me as heir to someone else's fortune that the bank is trying to return the money to. These are the everyone's dead so we'll just name you instead so that we can legally return all this money to someone.

Then there are the people who can't get to their vast fortune for political reason. The last one was supposedly the son of a deposed leader of some African nation, banished to some undisclosed neighboring country. But before being exiled, they transferred many millions of dollars to some account, somewhere. Somehow or other I'm supposed to end up with a million dollars or so for helping them claim the other 10-20 million.

Wow! A million dollars for doing nothing. Why I bet it would be worth it even if you had to front some money for expenses. It almost sounds too good to be true. --The sad thing is that so many people keep falling for these things.

Just finished reading the entire link. That is great. I particularly like the excuse about the colliding IP addresses.

"as now that our ip colliding with his and resulted to same ip adress as well"

I didn't know IP addresses could do that! You learn something new everyday. Actually, the knowledge that even a certified check needs time to clear physically, 7-10 days as opposed to just 24 hours, is very good info to know indeed!

Editied to add: spell check would be useful for these scammers.
