First off.. YAY! for anyone who picked up the X-Files reference in the thread title.

Second, I JUST got back from my local Best Buy in search of 4.1, alas they did not have it. They got a whole shipment of stuff in that they didn't unpack yet.. blah blah blah..

They did however have a whole heck of a lot of Farscape DVDs! They had more Farscape DVDs than DVDs of any other show.

So... I took out my handy cell phone with a built-in cam so I can show you how many they have..

Two season 1 box sets there, and then 45 other various sets

Plus 3 more 3.4 sets

Another box set in a big pile of DVDs they had.. I moved the one I found to a convenient place on the shelf :)

And believe me, they're not there because they're not selling, they had 3 season 2 sets last time I was there and now they have none!

YAY.. just thought I'd share :smokin:

Yes, the last time I was at my Best Buy they had a ton o' Farscape too (first time I can remember that happening). I wonder if the corporate buyers are seeing a big increase in Farscape DVD sales and buying for Christmas accordingly?

Does anyone here have access to DVD sales stats?

I wish that we had a Best Buy in our neck of the woods so I could check out their Farscape supplies.

Around here at this Best Buy,Farscape sells pretty quickly. The bad part is that it takes forever for them to restock.

Wow. Also, I am pleased that someone is using their camera phone constructively instead of cheating or ridiculing someone (as per the commercials).

I looked for season 1 and 2 at my local Circuit City but they had none. I asked them to order some.

First off, that's GREAT news Ash! Thanks for taking the pics.

Now for the negative. The bottom shelf?! THE BOTTOM SHELF?! What's wrong with these people?! Don't they know that Farscape belongs at eye level so folks can see it? My local Best Buy has a shelf of Farscape just like this one but it's just above the middle.

Ah well. We can't win 'em all. At least they're starting to stock 'em for us. Unlike Circuit City. When I went in there to find Farscape the guy in the movies section looked at me with a blank stare as though I were speaking Cantonese.

It's just in alphabetical order and worked out that way..

edit: There were also three spill-overs from the main farscape section on the top shelf, I slipped a season 1 box up there too.

Family Guy and Farscape are both at the bottom and they are both good sellers.

Ashley, is this the one on Haggerty Road? I was planning on checking it out tonight or tomorrow for 4.1, I hope they have it! There Farscape collection has really grown, even since the last of season 3 came out!

Nope, it's the one on Wayne and Central City Parkway, by Westland mall. I'd call ahead because chances are they won't have it, but let me know if they do :)

I called the Haggerty store and they said they didn't have it, but the guy sounded a bit clueless so I'm going to check it out tonight to see if I can find anything. I'll let you know.

I went over to the Haggerty Best Buy, they didn't have 4.1 and gave me the phoney release date of 12/23, but man did they have a lot of Farscape, almost 3 whole rows! And one whole row was just Season 2 boxed sets! They also had a few Season 1 boxed sets, and tons of the individual volumes. I'm going to try back again next week, so hopefully they will have them.

Wow! You guys are lucky. I'm lucky if my local Best Buy has 2 copies of individual volumes. They have never had any of the boxed sets and they are usually several months behind with the individual volumes. At least there's still Deep Discount DVD. :D

Stopped by my Best Buy today (no 4.1 :( ) and they had 10 (ten!) S2 boxed sets and at least half a dozen S1 boxed sets plus between 2 and 8 copies of each of the S3 individual sets. Unfortunately, they didn't have any individual sets of S1 or S2 eps, so anyone without the cash to pop for a boxed set will be out of luck there. Still, it was an impressive display!

All my Best Buy has is 3.4 and 3.5. I'm asking them to order the season 2 set.
