will henson,dk,rock,etc. have a "thank you scapers" in the mini?

hello everyone! :bigwave: ..i was just thinking that when we do get the mini-series, :woohoo:.:clap:.do you think that they will have a "thank you scapers" or some kind of acknowledgment for us? :dunno:...i think yes!,i mean if it wasn't for us scapers :aok: and all the hard work,letters,e-mails,etc...do you think that farscape would have come back even with the "to be continued"?....i think probably it would have come back someday,but with all the rukus that we made :lech: i think it showed everybody how much this show is really loved!:aok:

That being said, who knows? there might be some little inside joke, something at the end..you never know.

And they've already made it clear in their public statements that they give credit to the fans - e.g. Brian Henson saying that early on he'd have given up if it wasn't for the fans, Ricky Manning saying that if anything happened it would be down to the fans, etc.

The mini-series is enough although I agree that it would be great if they named a character or charactors Red or Tiriel or both :applaud:
I did it for the Farscape family and myself, to show them how much we (the extended family) appreciate :love: how hard they worked and the 4 years of entertainment they gave us. Also, to give them some income :).

Sci-Fi channel uses Saturn as it's symbol in the lower right corner of the screen. Since Sci-Fi canceled the show the destruction of that planet is a F. U> to them.

Oh, I thought it was in reference to the Saturn Awards, and I couldn't understand why Farscape would want to blow them off since they've won a bunch. But I didn't wanna ask caused I thought there was a reason that everyone else knew, but I didn't.

I think they will acknowledge us in some way. Maybe a subtle line in the script, or an outright acknowledgement before or after the show. In either case I echo the thought that we brought it back for ourselves and that is acknowledgement enough.

Ben, Claudia, Anthony, Gigi, Hardy, Lani, Kemper, Brian Henson and all the other cast, crew, and creators came back because they realize and enjoy how much we enjoy the show. Our greatest compliment to them as entertainers is our extreme enthusiasm for the show. That is why they have come back, not because they need money, or have nothing else going on, but because they understand our loyalty, our joy, for what they create. We have shown them our gratitude, our loyalty for their craftmanship. As artisans of film and story they are thrilled to have people that enjoy the show. They are moved by the fact that their performances left such a mark that its cancellation moved us to act.

That is not to mention working and being with each other for that long has made them good friends!

We have done what no other fandom has been able to accomplish. In a years time we have managed to bring our show back from the grave. We managed it through donations for ads, through military, cookbook, and charity projects as well as hounding networks and Sci Fi channel itself. We have received plenty of publicity for our actions which has paid off tremendously. Brian Henson along with his family were fans enough of the show to go and buy The Henson Company Back. Now, they took it upon themselves to bring back the show for at least long enough to finish it properly. Guess what? They did it for us, the fans, because they saw how much we enjoyed it.

I think if the miniseries is truly the end ( I pray it is not!) that if they were to thank us, it would be an outright action. I think they might all line up in Pilots Den take their final bows, say their thanks and appreciation and sadly leave the stage for the final time.

If they plan on making a movie, or more miniseries, or best case the ratings surge and stay there and they continue on the series for a fifth, sixth, seventh season ( DEAR LORD PLEASE LET IT HAPPEN !) then I wish for them to leave it "To Be Continued...". Then I would want them to continue the story alot sooner than they chose to now!!

You people with a need for public thanks need to think about this a little. Maybe read a column or two from Miss Manners. TPTB have already acknowledged how important the SaveFarscape effort has been. The fact that a miniseries is being made is more than enough acknowledgement. The magic of Farscape has never depended on nods and winks made to us from within the show. Farscape does NOT need to pander to its audience. That would be cheap, and I, for one, would think less of TPTB if they started doing that now.

I agree with you grapeshot. I did say they might acknowledge us, but I never said I felt we were owed the action. We are not owed anything. I just think it would be a nice thing of them to do. We don't need to be cutting peoples throats over this issue.
