View Full Version : The baby's name.

I have thought about this a lot and I think that John and Aeryn's baby should be a girl and I think it should be named, "Hope." I'm not one for name a kid after an idea, but this is such a prominent theme in the show that I think it should be their baby's name.
However, after reading "Horizons," I'm pretty sure I don't get my wish.
What do you all think?

I always imagined that the baby would be a boy, only because John already had... or will have... a girl. And the boy would be named Jack, after his father, who he'll never see again, with a middle name of Talyn, for Aeryan's, ergo, "JT," from the O'Bannon story. That seems true to the characters since they both have strong feelings for their fathers.

In the fanfic that I've been trying to write (stupid real life...) I had them have a girl and her name is Aethyna Leslie. Aethyna for the Greek goddess of math and science and Leslie for John's mom. (I spelled Aethyna like that so that she could be like her mommy. :D )

"Horizons" is only O'Bannon's view. Which is interesting, but I don't know that it reflects the views of everyone involved in shaping the show. So I think it's open to speculation.

I like Hope is has been a prominent theam of the show so it is a great name for a girl.
Much Love,

Interesting, that 'JT' would fit great, if they go that direction, I see that as a possibility. a girl? Don't know...
Not sure what they'd do realisticly.
I like the names Maria Anne and Alexis charalette myself... (lexi for short)

Whenever the return was looking bleak, I would think to myself, well, "Horizons" is there. It's how everything ends. It shows everything will be alright. And it made me happy. Now that it's coming back...I like you're idea! I'll still wish for a girl named Hope.

Hope is a sweet name, but unfortunately it'll be forever tied to Gabrielle's baby on Xena so I'd rather no other genre show use it for a while.
I think it will probably be a boy anyway, most (all?) of the writers are men. ;)
I like Talyn John (TJ) for many reasons :lol but John Talyn is also good.

What? Humpfrey starts with an H too. Okay, Hubert? Hubert Ichabod Crichton?

I think the only reason it will be a boy is because John already had a girl.

Hero. Isn't that the broad's name in Taming of The Shrew? Hero is a good name.

I guess I am just opposed to JT cause growing up I went to school with a J.T. that I just *hated* and I can't get over my preconceptions that go with that name.

Yes, Much ado, one of my favories...
My aunt whose an English major, and Shakespere lover would shutter at your 'mixup'
lol...
I love going with her to see the plays live...
alhtough I will scream if I see R&J one more time (3 times I've seen it)...
lol, I agree all male writers, and already a daughter, so yeah it makes sense they'd make it a boy... although you never know,
guess we will just have to wait and see...

Hey stellar, I forgot to ask you...what do have for me on Poe? I gotta write my paper on him. Thinking of doing something along the lines of his power over the reader's mind or something like that. What do you think?
