View Full Version : Do you think Zhaan will be included in mini?!

What does everyone think about Zhaan returning in the mini?! I have a strong
feeling that the writers have something up their sleaves for her. I want to know
more about Stark and where he's been in the later part of season three.
If they want to make closure to Farscape, I think that it'd be more special is Zhaan was included.

I sure hope Zhaan will be included. I really do miss her.

I hope she's not in the miniseries. I wouldn't mind seeing Virginia Hey in another role, but Zhaan is dead. For me, the fact that she has stayed dead allows me to suspend disbelief when other characters come back to life. I think it gives the show more credibility.

I would love to see Zhaan in the mini, but I don't think it's going to happen. I don't think they have that make-up problem sorted out yet, and I'd much prefer Ms. Hey's health over an appearance by our favorite P'au.

Yeah unless she can be a Sabecean I doubt she'll be able to reprize her role.

I agree with Judith... Zhaan shouldn't be in the mini. As much as I liked her character... I believe she is well and truly deceased.

alright, i have seen basically bad timing and natural election, and thats it for season 4,and even then, only the last half of bad timing, but I thought that was stark freaking out about flying the ship near the end of the ep, was it not? does he explain where he's been if it is...is it a big enough plot line or whatever that everyone thinks i should wait and be surprised, or something no one's destroying for me by telling me.

Zhaan may have been dispersed - but then so was Stark, off the hubcap. I don't think she's gone, just moved on to a higher level ;)
Remember, the Goddess moves in mysterious ways...
I hope Zhaan does return in the mini. She was always one of my favorite characters. I know Virginia had to leave the role because of the make-up issues, but I had always hoped they would bring her back. Especially after WFTW when she "died" and a phoenix is shown. I hope she does "rise from the ashes" in the mini as Zhaan, but with a twist.

I'm pretty sure she won't show up since she's been gone for so long now, and I really truly think she died that time. The whole season of death was great and much thanx to the fact that u can die in farscape. Would make no sense at all if she came back

I'll go with the majority and say I think Zhaan should stay dead. What I find a cliche again and again with many science fiction series is they kill off a character, bring them back and then kill them again and then bring them back, so on and so forth. Sometimes when people die, people die. Farscape has done a good job in keeping to its guns about the characters it's killed off. It would make no sense for them to violate them now.

I was actually thinking about this. With all the weird characters in "Unrealized Realities", surely there's got to be a Zhaan-Aeryn (or is that an Aeryn-Zhaan) out there somewhere.

I can only quote Virginia Hey.
At a local apperance she said she would come back if she didn't have to blue.
She also said that "all the actors" were being "held" for December.
Make of that what you will.........

I agree 100%. I would love to see Virginia in another episode,
perhaps as a peackeeper "disrupter". However one of the
things that distinguishes Farscapse is that there is no "reset
button".

I would love to Zhaan come back. She died in a Wormhole guys, they go to any time any place any when. Whos to say she isnt still alive someplace else............... If she does come back and the blue is still an issue she will probably float in and out of the storyline kinda like Stark does. hehehe maybe she can come back as a Leviathan Diety.......... she did impress the one she met............. Ok I know am totally FARBOT on the Zhaan thing but I like Zhaan :) Besides we KNOW we aint seen the last of Maldus........................

I liked Zhaan too But I realy doubt she's comming back. I wouldn't be suprised if Virginia Comes back as another Being, But I doubt she'll be Blue. She would Probaly be a Sabecean or Maybe an Anchient they take the form of people you know right!

This might have been discussed elsewhere, but...
Has it been disclosed one way or another (besides in above quote) if all the original cast (minus Zhann) is coming back?
Few things make it harder for me to engage in the willful suspension of disbelief than to see a cast regular replaced. Everyone on Moya might call the interloper "(insert name here)", but I remember what she looked like before... and this new person ain't her...
Let's hope no one comes up missing - the chemistry between the original cast members was absolutely stunning to behold.

Personally, I don't want to see the real Zhaan in a mini-series. However, I don't see why they can't include Zhaan like they did in season 4 ("John Quixote" and "Unrealized Reality"). Virginia Hey's role doesn't have to be big but I really think they could pull it off.

You guys forget what clever and creative writers we have..
I don't think she will be in the mini but I think if they wanted her in it they'd have a way to bring her back without really bringing her back. Maybe Stark pulls her back as a ghoist(remmeber he went searching for her soul) or through Stark other cast members can speak to her.. etc etc etc.. with our writers there are a billion options

Not sure about all the details, so someone correct me where/if I'm wrong.
The blue make-up..whatever makes it blue is poisonous...at least to Ms. Hey. That's why she left the first time around. It was very bad for her health.
That said, I thought they had fixed it since she was there and blue in "John Quixote." Maybe not and a one time thing was okay...
Also, maybe Zhaan would return, but in another form...Sebacean, whatever. It could be the same character, different body. Who knows? Wouldn't that freak Stark out! LOL

The blue makeup isn't "poisonous" per say but it is taken in through the skin and some peoples bodies are more affected by the chemicals involved, or less able to filter them out, them others. It is equatable to heavy drinking, it eventually breaks down an organ or two through at varying rates for different people.
I think Zhaan should be left out of the mini simply because there is not enough time, too much to do in 4 hours without trying to bring Zhaan in correctly. Plus Zhaan has moved on unlike the other Farscape character deaths, I can't see her wanting to come back though I could imagine her popping in for a little vision to Stark every now and again or something.

If she was Sabecean what if stark was the only one to see the resembalence. And the other Moyans were like, "You're crazy she does not look like Zhaan." that would be more fun ;)

what if the zhan charcter re appearred as a different species.
Work with me here:

When zhann dies, in that last clip, you see her spirit leave the ship just before it explodes (also commented on on the dvd commentary). So her spirit is dispersed, Stark came back as stark, but what if zhann came back as a sebaccean form of zhann??? would that cheapen the whole thing?

not as Zhann as a pk

Spoiler from Horizons short story...
According to Horizons the Moya crew visits death... which in some way is a real locality, not an ephemeral plane.
Zhaan is already there. One of the John's is already there. Bailar may or may not be there. But Zhaan is the motive for Stark to find it. Hell, Stark may not be able to be killed and reach death, so he has to get there another way.
What better reason could there be to travel to death than Zhaan? This might be the plot of the mini-series.

Interesting... Maybe this is how they find out John and Aeryn weren't killed at the end of "Bad Timing". It could start the whole miniseries off...
