Official Announcement?

did I miss it? how long does it take to "dot the i's and cross the t's"? mabey i overlooked an announcement somewhere but i can't find anything "official" or anything explaining why there wasn't an "official" announcement about a new farscape project...

Where/How will this official announcement be made known? I always feel like I get my information second hand (not that FMD is second hand, it's I just that I want to actually watch/read the announcement when it happens).

Good places to check for TV announcements are the Hollywood Reporter (www.Hollywoodreporter.com) and Variety (www.variety.com).

Those are the two key trade magazines for the industry.

I check 'em every morning while getting ready for work.

I know it's frustrating waiting for this announcement - but I don't believe we'll get it second hand.

I've had a few conversations with certain people about that, becuase it's been one of my concerns and frustrations, too. It was made clear to me that it is very important to Brian Henson in particular that the fans be a part of any announcement that's made - in other words, unless something gets fubar'd and lost on its way to us, we'll know when they're ready and able to make the official announcement before hand.

I haven't been given permission to state the reasons for the delay, but the webmaster of muppetcentral.com made a statement recently that is pretty much on target.

Here's some more info on Farscape from a trusted source. Apparently, the press conference is being held back until later in December due to finalizing what network the Farscape mini-series will air. As has been rumored, Farscape will return though in the form of a mini-series most likely in 2004.
