were the aliens in 'out of their minds' the same puppets that were used in 'the dark crystal'? the only reason i ask is cause in season 3 when they find talyn, JC is like "who did u piss off this time? and he says the skeksies which is what they were called in dark crystal. it seems a little weird that they would have the same look and name and that JC wouldnt have made a dark crystal reference, as other things in the jim henson universe still exist ie muppets and sesame street...arent they watching the muppets in kansas afterall?

He was jokeing they were the Helosion I think. But John sucks at names remember. He also called the guys in CK klingons they wern't though they did look like TOS Klingons. they do that kinda thing just to give John funny lines I think. and most other speices to him end in oid. Plakaviod, Tavloid he is bad at names.

I don't remember where I read it, maybe in 'Farscape facts' in one of the DVDs, but anyway, they are indeed the very same puppets from the 'Dark Crystal'.

They look the same to me. The puppets were old--I'm sure they repainted/redressed them and stuff. But the main puppet components were used for both.

I flipped out when I first saw Out Of Their Minds. The Dark Crystal used to be one of my favorite movies. I never knew that they were actually called Helosians until I watched The Ugly Truth today. I took Crichton's jokey line at face value, and assumed that Skeksies were the official Farscape name.

I read in an interview somewhere that they were different puppets, but were designed by the Creature Shop as a homage to the Skeksis :).
