Crichton Kicks - Views from a fan seeing it for first time.

Just saw Crichton Kicks for the first time. I have been waiting for about 3 months it seems from Dog with Two Bones. Thoughts about episode
1. I love Sikozu even more now. What a great character. Loved the idea of her having to learn a new language cause her mind can't handle translator microbes. Loved the banter between her and Crichton, and between her and Chiana. She can be a bitch but I still love her. Interesting prediciment she is in though.
2. Chiana. Wow she went through alot. That really hit me. And the use of her future vision. Now I know why she was going blind in all those later 4th season episodes I saw.
3. Crichton was great. With the music and 1812. lol. I was surprised that he wasn't happier to see Chiana.
4. It's a little sad that they are all being hunted once again. DAMN GRAYZA. I wonder how D'argo going to deal with this.
5. The dying Leviathan. Great idea and the pilot really looks good. When I saw this episode on tv (only bits and pieces) I thought pilot on moya was dying. So now that confusion is better.
6. Rygel little speech with Crichton. Classic. Also loved how he farted the helium when he was being chased by the hound. Really funny.

All and all I really liked this episode. One question though. WHERE"S D"ARGO. I know jool, d'argo, and Noranti are in next episode but where is aeryn. Thought they would give some clue as to where she is. Oh well. I know she turns up sooner or later. Hey I would like to know your thoughts on this episode. Is it generally well-liked or well-hated?

Well, I liked this episode, but there was quite a vocal faction that HATED the first part of season 4. (I'm most definitely NOT part of that faction.)

It was difficult to watch this while missing the other characters a LOT. I noticed that both Chiana and Rygel looked very bruised and they seem to generally have had a rough time of it. Of course, Chiana says as much to Crichton, but her story doesn't quite explain what to me, anyway, appears to be a bruise along Rygel's right ear. And Rygel's beard, in it's own way, was almost as obvious as Crichton's. Somewhere in there is a story waiting to be told.

I liked how once Chiana and Rygel show up, Crichton "snaps" back into his old self. It's a lovely reunion with old shipmates, (and typically Farscapean when Crichton shoves Chiana up against a wall to get her to spill her story) and it was a pleasure to see them get back into action. Even Rygel's missed attempt at catching Crichton's fall seems normal.

The best part was at the end, when Sikozu says she's NOT going to end up like them, that she WILL get her life back. John's deadpanned "ooookay!" was perfect. LOL, she's got a lot to learn!

CK is one of my absolute favourite episodes - actually it's my 2nd fave....

why?

It has Sikozu!!! WAHEEY!! My *favourite* character:D

It has *NO* shippiness (except in hallucinations, which I can live with)

Manic-Chi! Her story between DWTB + CK would've been fantastic - such a shame she was marginalised in S4 purely for more *yawn* J/A will they/won't they crap:whip:

Brilliant episode all round!!

I fear I may be the only person for this, but it's Incubator.
Most Scorpy fans don't like the brutality...but it has a beauty, a strength and heart that crashes through the screen.
I also loved the Linfer character.

My other faves would be Eat me, SNS, RIB and Prefect murder.
Twice shy I love, too (edgy Chi again + S/SS having 'proper' scenes)

This is taking this thread really off topic, but it's neat to see another fan of Prefect Murder. A lot of people didn't like this episode. But they experiemented with a style of storytelling that is really different from the manner in which Farscape usually tells stories, and I thought they pulled that off really well.

I liked APM I didn't like it the first time but it grew on me.
I loved incubator I thought it was the first true Scorpy ep.
