Well, the Holiday auctions are over. Our original goal for the PBS Project was to do ten Holiday auctions. Everyone responded so well with donations that we were able to offer donations for thirteen Holiday auctions-seven were accepted, and three were sent on to Spring auctions.

The seven Holiday auctions were:

KTWU

Topeka, KS

WMHT

Scenectady, NY

WIPB

Muncie, IN

KCPT
Kansas City, MO

WTCI

Chattanooga, TN

WJCT
Jacksonville, FL

KOZK
Springfield, MO

The Spring auctions that donations were sent to are:

WKAR

East Lansing, MI April 16-24

WMVS

Milwaukee, Wisconsin April 23-May1

WCTE

Cookeville, TN May, 2004

That means that Farscape and Farscape merchandise were mentioned and auctioned off several times on PBS this holiday season. A big thanks to everyone that donated items and helped purchase the BOS1 DVDs that accompanied every bag of Farscape swag. And a really BIG thanks to aeryncrichton for packaging and mailing all the donations!

Our goal for the PBS Project for the spring is to do 40 Spring auctions. Now, we may not be able to cover all forty as PBS may not accept all the donations. We're trying to choose auctions that are appropriate for our donations, but if the individual station doesn't think that the donation fits their auction, or might not sell, or they just have too much stuff, they could turn it down. In many of those cases, the donation will be offered to another station.

The Spring auctions run from March to June, with the majority of them taking place April through May.

So far we have three bags of swag of the type that were offered for the Holiday auctions- an rpg book, BOS1 DVD set, and Mutant Aeryn action figure. We also have fifteen more action figures, various Farscape merchandise from generous Scapers, and a lovely care package from Creation Entertainment. Adam and Gary at Creation sent us some t-shirts and various other Farscape items that are going to round out some bags of swag nicely. They told us that they were happy to help out Farscape and PBS, as they were fans of both. Yeah, Creation Entertainment~!

We will be accepting donations for the purchase of more Best of Season 1 DVD sets, as we would like to be able to continue to provide one with each swag bag. Aeryncrichton's accepting the donations here:

I fully realize that the Christmas season is upon us, and that people have donated a lot for the Sydney Telegraph ad. This project has time on it's side..although it takes some time to order DVDs and get stuff in the mail, and for paperwork to go back and forth. So just keep it in mind! And keep a lookout in the future for Ebay auctions that will benefit the PBS project!

Thanks for all the support.

That's what it's for-Thanks, Grapeshot!

Yup- we get Farscape and the merchandise mentioned on air, and sometimes print mentions and listings on websites. And of course, some lucky person takes home the BOS1 DVD set, and other goodies. :)

Awesome Ships.

And a big ole thanks to Creation.

I feel guilty though, haven't done anything for the Ohio PBS auctions yet. :whip:

Perhaps right after the holidays.

Don't feel guilty, Akimbo, you've got time. Just make sure to have plenty of lead time as you have to know what you're going to donate before you do the paperwork, and then wait for it to get back to you-and of course, you want to try to avoid the more expensive postal rates.

Thanks for taking care of Ohio!
