Anybody seen or heard about this???

Delurking for a moment. A friend of mine is a big fan of the Australian actor Kim Delury. He played Conchobar in the Witchblade series and had a part in an episode of Farscape. Anyway, she found this bit of information in a transcript of a chat that he did with his fans on December 8, 2003.

KimDelury:: Just to let everyone know, I went for a casting the other day....

KimDelury:: it was for the new tele-movies of Farscape....

KimDelury:: I can't tell you for which character yet....

KimDelury:: but it was a replacement for a lead role...

KimDelury:: one that already exists on the show....

KimDelury:: I'm on hold for it and am waiting for the outcome!

Does anybody here know anything about this?

Checked IMDb [yes I know it is not a reliable source] KDL was in 4.2 WWL part 1 playing Tarnat. He is not listed in the cast and crew of the new miniseries and there is no mention of the miniseries in his listings.!!!?

Well, after looking at a pic of him, I can think of at least 3 non-prosthetic'd characters he could play. When you start talking about actors with major prosthetics of course it brings in lots more possibilities.

Of course it could just be something like third Scarren from the left (or even the Emperor for that matter).

Well I missed the first few eps of the fourth season so, who is Tarnat? Could he be reprising that role?
Could he just be playing up the roles importance?

Everything in that picture screams "Peacekeeper!" :D And seeing that the focus appears to be on the Scarran/PK war it would make sense to have additional leads amongst the PKs...but someone who was already on the show...

On the other hand he could make for a decent Stark and Paul Goddard has been busy with other projects before and had to bow out, so who knows.

He ain't tall enough for D'Argo, he lacks plenty of things to be a convincing Chiana, Sikuzo, Noranti or (Ha!) Aeryn and we know who plays John.

He looks like PK special ops to me. Although I could also see him as a Nebari...who used to play Chi's brother?

I certainly hope it's not Scorpius. After Ben & Claudia, I'd consider Wayne the hardest to replace on the cast, because of how much he owns that character. Although I can see how Scorpius could be a smallish role in a miniseries, if the focus is more heavily on the Scarrens.

The IMDB listings mean nothing. The only confirmed casting are the people who have been... well... confirmed. :)

The guy did say 'lead role', which doesn't leave a lot of options... of course, it might have been for the voice of one of the puppets for all we know... :)

I have to think it could ONLY be for a Scarren. I can't imagine that TPTB would ever replace one of Moya's crew with anyone for any reason. I hope to frell it's not Emporer Staleek or whatever his sidekick is. Personally I think they own their roles. Now Minister Ahkna's husband, on the other hand, could be played by anyone. At least I think that long necked dude was her husband, or whatever Scarren mates are called.

I'm hoping that, if anything, the producers were auditioning other actors as a negotiation technique to convince someone who might have wanted more money that he could be replaced. The only actor I would really, really not mind seeing replaced would be the Scarren Emperor, but he certainly couldn't be described as a "lead" role by any stretch of the imagination. In fact, as far as I'm concerned, there are only 2 "lead" roles in Farscape, and I really can't see this boy playing Aeryn. Personally, I'd rather see any of our major characters written out than replaced. This isn't Doctor Who, after all.

Oh now THAT's a good idea!! According to Anth, Matt Newton didn't want to come back anyway. I certainly wouldn't mind seeing him replaced -- never became emotionally attached to his character in the first place. I wouldn't call Jothee a "lead" role, but then perhaps this guy is just pumping himself up in front of his fans.

The only way I can see him working as the TRUE lead is if they reconstitute the Taster's Choice crystal John as this new guy -- Aeryn goes "NOBODY MOVE! YOU'VE GOT IT WRONG!", they reset the machine, and up pops our dear Ben. :lol

I think a Velorek replacement is highly plausible, as the miniseries is rumored to deal with the escalating PK/Scarren war. Perhaps Crais never had Velorek executed for his subterfuge. Velorek may have been tortured/drugged into seeing the error of his ways, and set about creating an entire fleet of hybrids in earnest. Couple the power of more hybrids with the godlike power of wormholes, and you have a heck of a lot of trouble. This is wonderful! We could be tortured in such lovely ways by Kemper!

Well, there are only a handful of "lead" male characters on FS (Crichton, D'Argo, Scorpius/Harvey). Braca and Stark are not considered "lead" roles. Rygel and Pilot are voice-overs. Crais is dead. And, as the mini-series is a continuation/resolution of the end of Season-4, the only other male "lead" role is the Scarran Minister.

Question: Is there any info on the personal or fan-run websites for Anthony and Wayne that might mention either of them doing any current projects? Who was the actor that played the Scarran Minister? Is he well-known enough to have a website that might also list this type of info?



Edit(t)ed to add: Jack Crichton is a "minor" character, as well (and Delury is too young to play that role anyway).

It's already canon that Luxans mature faster than humans, and Jothee's already been re-cast once to go from a child to an adolescent. So it'd kind of make sense to have him played by someone older if he's going to re-appear ....

Contrary to our most sincere hopes, the mini-series WILL be shown on the SCI FI Channel.











I've just received word from sources that MUST NOT BE NAMED that the evil which resides at Skiffy has not only managed to hook the mini-series, but they've also somehow managed to brainwash both David Kemper and Brian Henson into making the mini-series a one-man stage show starring none other than KIM DELURY. The reasoning behind this?

1) It'll save a ton of money.
2) That Kim Delury is one fine-looking piece of gangly man-flesh.


John and Aeryn will be reconstituted. Both of these characters will be played by KIM DELURY.

They will subsequently be captured by the Peacekeepers. Scorpius (played by KIM DELURY) and Grayza (played by KIM DELURY IN DRAG, with fun bag prothetics) will proceed to extract all wormhole knowledge from Crichton with the Aurora Chair (played by KIM DELURY).

The Scarrens will attack the Peacekeepers, the Peacekeepers will destroy the Scarrens and all traces of their empire with the wormholes (played by KIM DELURY). The Nebari pick just that moment to unleash the Contagion (played by KIM DELURY) and the universe is theirs.

John and Aeryn eventually, after many trials and tribulations, find their way back to Earth, where they conceive and give birth to many children (played by KIM DELURY).


And I for one can't wait to see it.

Seriously, I think it will be Stark. Everytime he shows up, major things happen to the plot. Who really thought we'd keep seeing him after Nerve. And then when he comes back, the plot is to rob the shadow depository. And now again, here he is at Katratzi. There is more to Stark than meets the eye, and what is planned for him may make him more of a lead character.

Oh well, we'll see... hopefully soon.

Well. . . I wouldn't say anything has been "confirmed." After all, they haven't even officially confirmed that the mini-series is being produced.

I would be very surprised (and unhappy) if they "Doctored" Crichton, but I wouldn't say it's impossible.

Actually, I think we can take Red's word (http://www.watchfarscape.com/news/article.php?newsid=463) that Ben & Claudia are going to be reprising their roles.

I also happened to think of something tonight, in reference to this matter. You see, at Burbank, Claudia was teasing the audience about "possibly" seeing Anth soon. I would guess, at that point, that it was known pretty well by the cast "who" would be back for the mini.

My guess is still that KD will be playing a character that is a part of the Farscape mythology, but is not necessarily a "face".

the mini-series started filming on Monday in Australia. Brian Henson really is directing. Andrew Prowse really is Executive Producing. Rockne O'Bannon and David Kemper really wrote the 4 hours. Ben and Claudia really are confirmed. we're not just making this up.

I think we'd all be sleeping better at night if Henson would go ahead and put out a frelling press release though! After all, with evil geniuses at work, and rumors swirling all around the internet, there's really no telling (at least by us poor huddled masses) what's what!

I know y'all have no control over when Henson announces and I'm not asking any of you to spill the beans on anything top secret that you may be privy to. My comment was simply meant to convey my own opinion that until Henson does make some kind of official announcement we make assumptions about what's going to happen (or who's going to be) in the mini at our own risk.

it's typical to wait making an announcement until distribution is confirmed.

as to what's going to happen "in" the mini...if you mean storywise as in the release of details, an official announcement wouldn't have any impact on that. like any other tv production, they'll probably start routing the press through as they get more of the production filmed and we'll start to see the standard teasers coming out.

Out of boredom at work the other night - it was unusually slow - I looked at the Kim DeLury website. If I read between the lines correctly, there may have briefly been a pic or pics of him in costume. They (the fans of the site) were discusing the fact that he looked evil and were trying to decided whether his character was good or eveil.

Anyway, where the pics seemed to have been posted was a statement about having to have to remove them due to the fact that Farscape PTB would be angry at Kim. So....the photos (if there at all) were now gone.

Couldn't glean anymore info from the site.
