Zhaan's death...

When Zhaan left Farscape, I thought something very special was missing from the show.
I really think that Zhaan's death marked a turning point in the show. As much as I love John and Aeryn together, I wish that Zhaan could have been explored more. I think that the writers should have planted her in soil so she could heal. Wait for the Wheel was a fine ep, but I still think her absence was felt deeply.

Well, the way I understand it, it wasn't really the writers/creators/producers etc. that decided to get tid of Zhaan, but it was Virginia's decision to leave the show. Again, as I understand it, the extensive makeup used on her was causing her liver to shut down, her kidneys to have serious problems, and many other things. The layer of liquid plastic applied as a base was shutting down her pores from the shoulders up, and it was wreaking havoc on her body. So, sad as it was, she had to leave the show for health reasons. Well, that's what I understood anyway. I'm sure we all miss her, but that's just how it is.
