Once again I feel the need to get my thoughts out about this great show. Here are some of my reactions from both episodes.
Sacrifice: Part 1
1. Well it has been proven. Interions, Peacekeepers, and Humans are related. Interesting idea and it was cool with them using Egyptian.
2. The return of Jool. YAY She was great in this episode. That scene with her and D'argo. Wow!
3. Vella is a b@*th. I'm sorry but i didn't like her at all. Is a disgrace to the Interion race (I hope they all are like Jool).
4. Noranti is good in this episode. She is actually growing on me even though she attempts to kill John. She is so weird that I like her.
5. Sikozu! I liked her trying to get John's pod ready and the scene with her on the wall over D'Argo was great.
6. Scorpius, it is somewhat disturbing. I believe I have become somewhat attached to him and even feel bad for what has happened to him. I don't know why but i do.
7. Grayza, more on her part two
8. The cliffhanger wasn't the greatest. You know he obviously survives. Oh well.
Resurrection: Part Two
1. Grayza, interesting villain. Kool Power but i don't understand why she wants him so bad. She wants to know why the scarrens want him? That's it. So she puts a price on all of their heads for that. I don't know. Now she wants to exact revenge for the humilation they caused her. Come on it just seems from Crais chasing them for killing of his brother, Scorpius for the knowledge of wormholes, and then Grayza; wants to know why Scarrens want him and revenge for humiliation. Just doesn't match up.
2. Sikozu, once again they show her betraying the team and then it turns out she really didn't betray them. I hope they don't keep doing this with her but great episode for her.
3. The scene in the prison cell. Need I say more. Jool attacking Sikozu and Chiana strangling her. Then JOol screams to get shackles off. That whole scene is most likely my favorite in Farscape history. Oh and that little hand thing between Jool and Chiana after they kicked those guys was great.
4. Scorpius he can't be dead can he? How does he get out of that one? I'll find out sooner or later.
5. Rygel and Elack's pilot. It was good to see Rygel like this and the sacrifice of Elack really was touching.
6. The story was confusing but eventually i think i understood it in the end. NOt the greatest two parter but not the worst.
7. And finally Jool's goodbye. First time i cried during a farscape episode. The kiss took me totally my surprise. That scene will haunt me forever and leads me longing for the return of Jool even more. She is truly a great character that deserves a lot more development.

Now where is Moya? Where's Aeryn? Did D'argo find Macton? None of this questions have been answered but hopefully they will be. Well i would like to hear your thoughts on this two parter.

I like WWL a lot. One thing I like about it is its "look". The colors are very vivid.

Beyond that, its hard to comment too much without spoiling what follows. However, I just watched Rebecca Riggs' commentary on Grayza on the 4.1 DVD and it's very enlightening to see how she analalyzes Grayza.

She comments at length about the scene where she kicks Scorpius and I believe that that is somewhat a defining moment for Grayza. Why does she kick him and what does she gain from it? She gains nothing, but she's searching for some sort of satisfaction which she ultimately never will find.

She's basically an empty shell playing a game and all the while trying to find somthing that stimulates her. But nothing does - not even kicking Scorpius. So, she keeps playing her game.

Noranti, even in her lunacy, for really the first time lends the notion that there's more to her than meets the eye. What that is, nobody knows!

Alot of questions that were posed in WWL were never answered due to the series' cancellation. Hopefully, the mini will tie up the loose ends.

Thank you Sikozu & Jool r best! I was going to ask someone to post a screen cap of that! You read my mind. I loved that scene, and couldn't help but thinking "all they need now are Aeryn and Noranti and they'd be Fox Force Five!"

S&JRBest,

Why don't you go in and edit your post to put spoiler space at the top of it. Most people will realize this is a spoilerific thread from the title, but it never hurts to take a little extra precaution! ;)

Loved WWL......you're so right about the colours - for me, that was one of the highlights of S4.
(Poor Sikozu, though....)

BTW...that piccy of the girls....does anyone know of a link or magazine that has that picture much larger + very sharp??

I have been wanting to paint that shot for ages, but can't find a decent version.
Cheers.

I really enjoyed What Was Lost, but I think it suffered on transmission from being a bit confusing. After having scene the Deleted Scenes on 3.5 that establish that Moya is heading to Jool's dig on Arnessk, and that Elack is lurking in the Sacred Leviathan Burial Ground...the confusion of "Why are they there? How did they get there? How did D'Argo know where to find them? etc" is all explained.

However, when this was first shown, as much as I was enjoying the story, I was really confused about how D'Argo and the others were able to find the planet because at the time, we never had seen the scene where D'Argo and Jool download the information from the Command Carrier in "Into The LIon's Den". Of course, that also explains how the peacekeepers know where the planet is.

It still suffers from some plot questions:

How did Scorpy survive being shot and buried?

WHo killed Vella?

Why do they think the Peacekeepers aren't looking for Jool? She was on the Command Carrier!

None of these questions are really addressed that well. Oh well, the best thing about this is that it looks brilliant. The worst is that Jool leaves.

That's right! I forgot who killed Vella? Gee that is a big question? Anyone have any ideas?

I think Dargo killed her... He is still a insecure teenager under the grown up fasad! ;)

I thought I remembered the sea monster guy having killed Vella? I've only seen that one once and I have the world's WORST memory for details, but didn't he zap her so he could get the whatchamacallit (Darnaz triangle?)?

But why did the guards just stand there like idiots....They must have heard the discussion! AARGHHHHHH!

Oh lord don't even get me... Some people got real upset about the Grayza/John parts in this two parter but it’s those damn guards that make me grind my teeth every time I watch them.

Best I can come up with is Jool's scream screwed up their headgear by frying the fragile metallic parts in the microphones which made them unable to hear the noise outside through their enclosed helmets. Of course that doesn't solve the problem of why they stood there like friggen manikins while a trio of girls, a thief and a pair of scientists, kicked the crap out of their fully armed and armored military asses. Also for some freakishly unknown reason they were standing in the doorway of the cell with the door wide open behind them!

They certainly put the "Special" back in Special Ops don’t they.

They should up just had Chiana "pop em out" right before they made their move, then it at least would have been a funny little moment of distraction turned to the girls advantage.

Before anyone brings it up you just shoot from the back like they did the last 2 times.... well provided you think that's really
neccessary;)

Funnier still you could have had Chi "accidently" disrobe Jool to distract them and..... damn ok I'd better stop now. You can carry it from there Roland :rollin: :rollin:

Well, on the 4.1 DVD section, either in the "alien encounters" or the "Farscape Facts", it says that Vella was killed by Oo-nii, the sea creature.

Which doesn't explain why D'Argo was holding the archaeology tool before and after her death. Either there was more than one of them, or we saw things out of sequence, or it was D'Argo (but given that he didn't murder Macton, I think it would be out of character for him to murder Vella--although he had been drinking)...well I don't know.

Still, the DVD says it was the sea creature. Maybe it's just a case of poor editing/direction.

It was revealed in the ep dialogue that oo-nii killed her - he admitted it!!

PsiTrey

He did?

I missed that...but of course I can only understand about 50% of what Oo-nii says!
