It's in Matt's column again. :)

Question:
I was really surprised to read in your Ask Matt column that you don't think much of Tru Calling. I wouldn't say it's a great show, but it shows promise, and the episodes so far have at least been good enough to keep me watching. The surprise (Davis's confession to Tru) that ended last week's episode really has me looking forward to next week. I'm also really surprised to read the letter someone submitted that was a dig at 24's third season. So far, I — and the three other people I know who watch — am loving it. Kim is at least less annoying this season and I love most of the new cast. No one's been tortured this season, and there's been very little graphic violence. (I had major complaints in that area last season.) I'm intrigued by the mystery, enjoying the suspense, and loving 24 more than I have since the beginning of season two. If season three doesn't go downhill like season two, I think that season three will be 24's best yet. P.S. — As a favor to me (and thousands of other Farscape fans out there), could you please try to dig up some concrete information about the Farscape miniseries that's allegedly in development? I'm dying for details. — Jake M.
Matt:
Taking your subjects in order: The recent Tru Calling slam brought out several of the show's defenders, so it's clearly developing a modest cult. But even then, nearly everyone hedges their bets when discussing it, admitting it's hardly a classic while wondering how long the thin premise can be sustained. As for 24, I predict it will always be a show debated passionately week by week. I think it's been more uneven this season than before — could they just do away forever with the Palmer subplots? — but am still enjoying the ride, especially now that once again I have no idea where it's heading. Finally, Farscape. We have several reporters who are in regular contact with the producers. When we learn more, we'll share it in our website and magazine columns, I'm sure. Although don't look for any plot spoilers in this space. Not my style when I can help it.
